Wide and ultrawide - anything else feels pointless due to lack of decent quality.

I donĀt understand the point of having an option of regular! Who donĀt need a wide regular camera.

Mobile Phone/Feature Phone = A device made primarily for calling and texting, with a number of features and apps.
People (especially teens and pre-teens) think of smartphones as just phones and think of feature phones (the real phone) as something of the past, regardless of age. It's quite annoying as they use their "phones" like it is a computer. People using mobile phones like me (Nokia 6288, 2006) are seen as old people, well they are right to some extent...
Shanth, 18 Aug 2019 Now a days all smartphone companies focusing only on camera. Specially chines companies just ... moreExactly but unfortunate reality drives them. for most of the people communication means posting something on facebook or instagram and get likes or comments. majority of people are dumb and they care about how good they look in photos. no wonder companies invest behind the camera tech the most.
this survey is not done correctly. of course the main camera would be the one use the most, but this is not the question here. the questions is aside from the main camera, which other lens type would you use regularly.
the survey should to select two answers, or remove the main camera from the selection.
The WA is of highest quality which I use for DNG output whenever possible. Even a heavily cropped stacked DNG with much worse resolution than the telephoto's JPG often ends up the more malleable and usable file.
It is safe to say that 99% of people use the regular camera the most, followed by either telephoto or ultrawide.
Personally, my 2nd most used camera is telephoto because it gives you more reach than you initially have. I only use the ultrawide when taking group photos or when the situation requires it.
Now a days all smartphone companies focusing only on camera. Specially chines companies just copying each others coz of no copyrights terms.
Actually all companies are selling smart cameras not smart phones.
all tv advertisements are about camera quality on the phone. They never mention more than the camera.
They think camera is the best selling point than other features.
Except apple. Some time oneplus
AppleĀz add about privacy. And OnePlus add about speed.
But other all companies are only advertising about camera....

Anonymous, 18 Aug 2019LOL no votes for 5x Zoom? But its amazing tho thats what the Huawei fanboys say. Regular a... moreThere is nothing to 'lol' about. Only P30 Pro (and Oppo Reno?) has 5x zoom camera. Now think about 30Pro price and where from are majority of GSMArena users. There can't be overwhelming amount of votes if you don't have 5x camera and have zero experience.
Regular and 5x-10x zoom. Never used ultra wide (regular is wide enough and pics from ultra wide have always inferior quality) and selfie camera (self-explanatory).
Aside from the main camera, I also use the telephoto camera (with mobile macro lens attached) for macro photography.
Besides regular camera i prefer ultra wide camera. 2x-3x tele not so important to me as i can just crop it from photo taken by regular camera. Yes some quality lost during cropping but not a problem to post in social media.
The main camera, obviously. Then the ultra wide angle + telephoto cameras.
This is kind of pointless. The regular camwra is what we use regularly!
Yeah the correct option for this poll would be "outside the regular one, which camera do you use the most?".
Kinda obvious since most people would use the regular one the most, not to mention there are lots of phone with dual camera but with only depth sensor as the second one.
Pretty idiotic to include the regular (wide) as an option. Since the best smartphone cameras are the one that you can simply pick up and shoot, that should always be the most used lens. Either that, or the smartphone manufacturer is doing something wrong.
A better poll would be to ask which lens besides the regular wide one people like/use most. That's how I votes as well, because obviously I use my regular wide lens more than any other, but the ultrawide comes in second and is what I voted for.
