Anonymous, 19 Aug 2019Anandtech is incredibly Apple biased. Most of the tests have no bearing in real world performance. Biased or not, objective tests results still shows valid data. Also I'm not faithfully using only one site for reseach.
i always hope samsung just ditch snapdragon chip in their flagship so they can go all out improve their exynos.
Still don't have guts to beat a year old APPLE A12 BIONIC!!!!!!!!!!!!

But seriously they should give choice when you are buying a $1000+ for a phone
most of people forget that snapdragon cpus are printed by samsung itself !
It's a shame Samsung still offers budgetchipset on European market while having Snapdragon on other markets. If you buy a flagship phone for 1100 euros you expect to get the best but with Samsung you don't get the best. That's why Samsung phones aren't recommended anymore and the competition has grown rapidly.
Anonymous, 19 Aug 2019If you read the article properly it says the original 9820 is 8nm and the 9825 is 7nm They did read it correctly, they were referring to the typo in Table 1.
Under Exynos 9820 should read 8nm LPP DUV (& not 7).

Anonymous, 19 Aug 2019No thanks prefer Exyons with higher single core performance over overheating snapcrappin.Only few Snapdragon processors have overheating issues. Another ones won't overheat. Android phones with other processor like Exynos Kirin MediaTek can't compete with Snapdragon.

It does not actually increase processor speed or anything else so the overall performance in "Performance Mode" is the same as normal/optimized mode.
Huawei's performance mode actually increases the overall performance of the device, it will run smoother and faster than normal. That's all I know about Huawei's performance mode.
AteX, 19 Aug 2019They dare to say it is a newer exynos chip while they gave 90mhz for one type of its cores. Wh... moreActually the next Snapdragon chip is going to be a Monster, so Samsung is right now working on the next Exynos chip, to compete with it. Plus Samsung will move to High Megapixel Cameras across all its Middle and Top end smartphones next year. So something like a 108MP or even a 64MP camera would require enormous amount of processing power, especially in a multiple camera setup. Also, the next Exynos will have a very complex ISP setup, so hopefully 2020's smartphone should be noticeably better for Photography.

I was going to add XDA to your list but since Honor became their sponsor, their reporting took a bad hit. The other sites you have given are great sources too, my favourite being NotebookCheck.

It'll add $500 for prototype, but imo better than FOLDING mess. With that much HBM bandwidth, we can even put overtech features such as 8k 240fps recording in our phone, just to brag around.

It their GPU, MALI GPU which is TRASH compared Adreno / PowerVR A11, inefficient, hot, and cheaply made. that's why Samsung licenses new NAVI IP last June (?) from AMD, same GPU technology for next generation PS5 and XBOX. We all know ADRENO also derivatives from ATI/AMD gpu technology. Intel also license this GPU IP for their next gen CPU.
Nvidia does not allow custom GPU so in 2-3 years, majority gpu (not desktop tho) will be ATI or NAVI derivatives means no problem for optimization / compability.
Samsung got access to HBM and own fabs. If he doesn't care about cost, he can license chiplet design from AMD and we can get phone with 1000+GB/s HBM (okay, maybe half to reduce power consumption), instead
