Nokia going with Right business strategy. Just wait for 6 months Google will stifle other Android OEM, when it will start concentrating on Motorola. It will do anything for their product.
Nokia should keep in mind, basic options has to provided with each of their phones, like Bluetooth, Micro SD slot, normal SIM Card slot (as people hold 2-3 phones) for easy swapping. Faster Apps development which can be used in all their 3 platforms..

Android = lag. Windows Phone = smooth.

That is a very intelligent move. Giving people who could only dream of an iPhone (especially in 3rd world countries) Keep in mind that, these countries account for more than 50% of Nokia's sales.

If they provide low budget WP then it will be an instant hit because Windows and Nokia both are well known brands. I know many phone users don't even know their phones OS's but they are certainly well aware of Windows and Nokia.

I prefer Nokia with Windows OS because so smooth software. Just need to add all features to Windows OS from Symbian OS.

Nokia should stay with symbian - especially for midrange phones!!
p.s. cant't wait for an high-end symbian device - the n8 successor!! - btw meego would be awesome too!!

Nokia Microsoft it's powerful company with high respectful devices and best quality hardware. When you scrolling Nokia Windows OS then scroll smoothly but when you scrolling Android OS then not smooth. So I don't like Android. Prefer Nokia Microsoft because best hardware and software in one. Now only want to get from Nokia Microsoft ultimate photo camera King and will be happy.

"WP and Symbian combined accounted for less than 14% of global smartphone sales in 2011"

well, who cares about smartphone market shares? as long as customers are satisfied with Nokia's services they would not care if their shares dwindled or not

Besides, dwindling of sales is natural. That's business. We understand. :)

If Nokia really wants to succeed with its Microsoft Strategy (and they must want it), better must start developing Windows Phone/Windows 8 devices, such as its competitors never knows what beat them!

I own one (for a month before trading it in for a Lumia), and it's anything but smooth, it's made out of hype and nothing else. Now my Lumia is still working reliably, no lags, no crashes. And funnily enough, when you compare the top 100 apps in WP7 and Android's app store, Android actually costs more.

Once people on a budget gets a taste of Nokia's Tango, they'll grows sick of Android budget phones due to it's lagginess, the pathetic battery life, mediocre screen, subpar camera and most of all; cheap build quality. It's either Windows Phone Tango or Nokia Belle really.
