Boring.
How is this mobile different from the dozens recently out and yet to come out. Completely un-interesting.
Wait a sec... it's not LTE?
AND no microSD???
oh great. So their "mid range" device is gonna cost more than Galaxy S II and Sensation XE!
AnonD-41401, 26 Feb 2012Flag ship model Having no MicroSD card? Losers. Now you'll get a whole bunch of HTC fanboy... moreJust to let you know, while all my current HTC phones have a micro sd card slot, I find that it's not really an important feature since the memory is huge at 32 gb. most of the previous HTC phones used to only possess a very limited internal memory and hence, required a micro sd card slot. I can't remember the last time i took out my sensation xe's micro sd card since everytime I connect it to the computer, I mount it as a disk drive rather than take it out. Many of my Samsung S2 owning friends do not even insert a micro sd card slot as they find 16gb sufficient. In addition to it, with 25 gb of dropbox space, it adds up to 57 gb of theoretical storage. So, if you do not own even a smartphone, or even a phone that is able to mount as a disc drive, I suggest that you keep your low levelled opinions to yourself and stop nitpicking about something which you do not wish to own since you are a Samsung fan-boy.
shut up and take my money
nano, 26 Feb 2012specs is awesome, but the design is boring..Yeah, and so as the so HTC Sense is boring. The flipclock is aging as well.
Amoled screens?
This is gonna be a massive screen issues fiasco over the web about spots in blacks/greys. Horrible viewing angles and bad white renderings.
Who cares about 25GB online storage, what rubbish. I want the PRIVACY of an expandable memory where if the phone has to go in for repairs I can remove the micro SD before I hand it over for repair. I don't trust ANY online storage system with my personal files. Massive fail HTC
I just wonder 1 Gigahertz processor in my Nexus S works absolutely great with all apps available in the market. The GS2 owned by my brother has some extra power but can do nothing so extra what I don't with my Nexus. Now the question is what is the of those quad-core processors ? Are we going to fight a battle with all these or we just need a smartphone with some really good battery. & HTC will keep the price surely around 1000$.
this phone is not for me. I'll probably drop this 4.7" phone when I make a call. maybe One S would be perfect.

Losers.
Now you'll get a whole bunch of HTC fanboy... moreAgree with Doug. Android should not follow apple or ms footstep. Remember that apple and ms didn't support sdcard from the beginning, but android does. Feels like going backward if they suddenly removed that feature.
Online storage is good, but remember that there's part of the world where internet is slow or even non-existent.
I think flagship android phone should add official support for newer SDXC card instead of removing sdcard support altogether.
Why do they want to mess this phone up with a built-in battery? I wouldn't buy a phone if it had such a drawback...
AnonD-41401, 26 Feb 2012Flag ship model Having no MicroSD card? Losers. Now you'll get a whole bunch of HTC fanboy... moreEver heard of an iphone, the best selling phone in the world, has no SD slot !!
AnonD-41401, 26 Feb 2012Flag ship model Having no MicroSD card? Losers. Now you'll get a whole bunch of HTC fanboy... moreThe 14GB of free Dropbox I have, along with spotify streaming means my phone local storage got MUCH less important recently,
They just need to drop that 8MP camera its utterly bad and its in every model!
AnonD-2686, 26 Feb 2012amazed by the specs, but design lags innovation. HTC can do better. These phones are getting too big, 4.7" is very big, now there are rumours of Galaxy S III having a 4.8" screen.
This is getting too much, 4" is perfect, no need for more.
And I was expecting HTC to change up their design a bit... but it's still the same old, boring HTC design, now with no microSD.
That is one ugly looking phone.
The specs sound impressive, but i doubt htc's sense UI overlay will make a difference. This phone promises a lot, but i really don't like the fact the hTC uses the same design over and over. S-LCD 2 is a great leap, but it fails in comparison to the new samsung's upcoming display. Although both S-Amoled and S-LCD belong to Samsung now. The quad-core processor is terrible! When swiching from the companion core to the other 4 logical cores, there is a huge lag!!! So think twice if you want to jump in to the first generation quad-core + 1 phones! We will see tomorrow.
Would anyone pay 700 Euros for this? I doubt that. It's not even better than the Galaxy Nexus, and it's not a Google Experience phone.
whats wrong with those devices?
i know 720p screen would take a big phone.
But cmon, thats almost wont fit a pocket. If i needed something big i would go with a Tablet.
Cmon guys where are the mid size phones like Motorola Defy and so? They size was the maximum i could carry around.
