Anonymous, 27 Feb 2012Struggle at 4.3? Yet they quite happily manage a 5.3 HD AMOLED opn the Note?and what about the galaxy tab 7.7... (super amoled+)
This tablet is great. I think it will really get some crowd in the design, writing and drawing fields.
It will be a good option if you want to buy a tablet.
As much as I love Sammy, I think this is going to struggle against the quad-core iPad3 launching this year... it needed a future-proof speed bump to make it competitive.. Not sure this is going to cut it... Love the idea though... it's a great direction for tablets...
Please turn off capacitive screen when using stylus, at least have as an option. It is impossible to use stylus without touching the screen.
Anonymous, 27 Feb 2012technology will never be a useful educational tool. im sorry but its true and i have seen the ... moreI second that. No one person can honestly think a child bearing a mulimedia tablet will rather use it as a book reader than a video/music player or a game console. Hell, even I'd choose wach some "How I met your mother" over some social studies :P Good old paperback, or preferably e-ink Book readers (you know, less books on a child's back - less spinal malfunctions) are the way to go when it comes to education.
Apple is smart enough to milk the new tablet craze by hosting those "edu" events. I'm sure some schools will get fooled into this. At my work we deal with teachers on a daily basis - I know how easily influenced (and sometimes even downright daft) they can get. Kudos to Apple for marketing strategies, this might unfortunately be a downgrade in education quality. Oh the poor children...
Initial Specs, surely impressive. This should bring additional functionality to conventional tablets market.
Taking notes while watching a movie is a pretty good idea, it surely opens doors for other funcitonalities too..
Do you seriously think that they will launch a flagship without even a keynote and a big media event??
Simple fact -- how many companies are fighting for front page coverage now? I saw HTC, Sony, LG, Nokia, Huawei and many more. Why would you think they would launch their flagships in such a crowded environment?? Let the rumble settle down, wait for 1-2 months and then reveal your products. What best then to wait for iPad3, then launch next-gen Tab line and showing how it's better than the iPad. When they are gunning for Apple, it makes no sense for their products to be in direct comparison with HTC/LG/Sony/Huawei etc., It won't give them that mileage in media they need to fight Apple.
WTF ?! the same with the G TAB 2.0? same form factor, design... only a S-Pen as an EXTRA ?!
