Nokia Rules the World..
BOOOM BOOOM !!
AnonD-44027, 27 Feb 2012too bad it didn't have front cam :(It hae front cam and even pla radio fm transmitter and HTML5..this is the Kaiser
kritze, 27 Feb 2012the guys at techradar are soo bias, 'who needs a 41mp phone?' thats a very stupid question to ... moreExpect that from a lot of Android fanboys in the coming months. It's only just begun..
wowwwwww!!! So getting this! Already have n8, but this is just AWESOME!!!
AnonD-21645, 27 Feb 2012LOL - nothing gets people stoked up more than a Nokia release! My only question / concern /... moreI agree, it would be great to see this camera module on a WP7 handset. But this is a great "last hurrah" for Symbian. It'll be supported for a few years yet, and I for one would be happy to use this device as my main camera while I use my WP7 handset for communicating with people.
OK. Let's see. When was the last time I took a picture with my ever faithful Samsung wave? Can't really recall. For special occasions that call for special pictures I have my Nikon for that. So, unless you shall be snapping everything you come across your way including rocks, trash cans(Mr Bean, anyone?) and ants, then do not go for this. After all who buys symbian devices these days? Jeez! You need pity.
impressive with the photo quality
but down for the spec it has
AnonD-213, 27 Feb 2012nice invention .... but each pic take 10mb of your 16GO internal memory ......commmmmon nokia ... moremSD card and UST-OTG. Belle does both of these things, plenty of storage options for those who take enough to fill up the 16GB built in.
the pic quality isn't amazing at all......
wat's the point of having 41MP on a cellphone? i doubt...
nokia forgot to mention, Pure view 808 is also a spy cam. Have a look at the picture - guy hanging from the cliff and try and find a vehical in that picture (in the comressed mode, not in the zoom mode) Now, zoom the picture and pan towards the bottom right. Now, imagine if this monster camera phone had an optical zoom to its specs !!!
i download the file.. not so impressive for 41mp. but if this 41mp quality compressed to 8 or 12 mp. yeah. the image is stunning for camera phone.
Symbian shows its modular nature.. they are offloading all the image processing onto a dsp chip, before sending it to the gpu.. its all in here. This is brilliant.. and this is why it can capture 41 mp images and 1080p video on a single core. Overall it exposes how inefficient android really is .. kind of sad...i use one of them inspite of dual core my sgs 2 lagsand doesn run for more than a day....
Anonymous, 27 Feb 2012I meant horrible, sorry for my less than perfect rant...i meant if this is horrible, other cameraphone are unusable......i think you are too envy with this 'horrible' cameraphone king 808 PureView
FBI, 27 Feb 2012I we talk about smartphones - Nokia 808 sucks and sucks a lot. If we talk about camera phones ... moreI wouldn't agree that it sucks a lot - Symbian "Nokia OS" Is still a great smartphone platform but you have to treat it like an appliance: apart from OS updates, what it's like out of the box is what you get. So it just doesn't suit nerds like us.
I prefer WP7, far and away a better OS for communications. But I want this phone as it's an awesome camera that runs a smartphone OS. With this, I can use USB-OTG and mSD cards to store as much as I want; I can share to FB and anywhere else at will; if necessary I can make a call! But mostly, I want this to be my internet-connected camera. Sweet!
