First of all no Google services will work withouth google approval, second no regular user (99,99%) will ever buy somethink that doesnt support basic smart phone function, maps,youtube and gmail are more or less must have for 99,99% of people, and no browser can work as god as apps. Remember how it go with windows. No apps no users, no windows. Bloatware? You should worry abouth china shit. Their politics censure and monitor much more then ther rest of the world, so who can say that google spys? China is famous for stelling stuff and censuring shit... Huawei you are next NOKIA. hahahahahahahahhahahahaha

Superb, faster it'll drop in price and faster i'll buy it. I don't need the bloatware/spyware and crap apps from Google installed in my phone. Let it use Harmony OS as an alternative too.

Google can easily block any huawei phone from accessing their services, they can always block them in their server side.
This is a big blow to huawei, I work at the largest Telecom company in the Philippines(SMART), we stopped selling any huawei phone and we will not be carrying any upcoming huawei phone without the Google services. you all have no idea how many customers ask to return their huawei product when the news regarding the ban was shown on the news.
We didn't refund though, we just explain the situation, but the majority of them are really angry that they can't return their phones.

developing app for android without google myself & I got feeling that open sourcing it from google is just market BS ... they have way how to pull you in to their version of the world with so many API services which just works if you comply to google's rules... its business after all..
so its ok, we have to be just aware of it... make visible what BIG corporations (or/and countries govs ;) tries to hide
P.S:: I witnessed as google asked for access to some sensitive proprietary device sensors in exchange for access to playstore services (just my 2 cents)

This phone will only sell in China seeing there is no google in any case.
Any proof that the chipset is crap? Or is that your butthurt opinion? (Yes, they don't have the best chips, but any link to how crap it is? I only see articles about how far ahead they are)
