i have updated i have noticed that there are now live on screen notification for facebook and twitter,camera has flash light support in video recording,camera has some new features like burst shot mode where you can take bout five photos in succession and overall performance improvement.but i can seem to make video calls.

N9 owner, 28 Feb 2012Not in Canada yetIm in canada and got my update OTA is morning, went to manage apps, and device update. Works fine, way better improvements. Still waiting on use of front face camera, which should come either by skype update or P.R 1.3 already in the making

Nomz, 28 Feb 2012I download mine throught Navifirm. Working fine but a little laggy though. No video call and n... morefelt a bit lag after update, but after a restart everything is OK, I can say that some apps( Mails for example) start up quicker than before, also I noticed a battery improvement!

See in wikipedia for info about Nokia N9, and also better explained update content. As the N9 phone is "repressed" by M$ in Nokia, users help each other. Update was launched worldwide but if your operator use branded MeeGo it can slow it's appearence at particular operator. If your operator use retailer version it is aviable or you can download it moanually, via OnTheAir OTA or WiFi. For some unknown reasons in some places recent updates was late a few day, but branded even 2-3 montsh but that was operators fault.

As for all the Vodafone AU N9 owners, relax and take a seat and get a bong going as the update will probably be approved and released sometime in May as the PR1.1 was three-four months delayed.
None the less, looking forward to the update and want to know what the next update is going to bring...

Rephrased to absolute laymans terms: N9's OS is MeeGo 1.2 Harmattan. It has been MeeGo 1.2 since launch. The software revision was PR1.0 straight out of box and this update brings it to PR1.2, NOT MeeGo 1.2. Get it?
The update itself... finally we have folders! There are improvements here and there. The new font is absolutely rubbish though. The letters got fatter and my initial expression was that everything is bolded. The gap between the lines is huge now and that makes the screen feel small because you got to be scrolling all the time. Also some apps that used to fit inside the screen doesn't fit anymore. I'm completely at lost as to what's the point of the font change? The old one was more functional and looked slender and funky. I hope the old font can be modded in.

Manually you can get the update of PR1.2 when you are in WIFI. Just go Setting/Manage Application/Updates then it will show you the file even you are anywhere in the World. I update yesterdsy manually but just waiting how the Video Call is Possible.. Others are OK.
