"Another definition was created during the Cold War and used more or less synonymously with the term Eastern Bloc. A similar definition names the formerly communist European states outside the Soviet Union as Eastern Europe."
“The Eastern Bloc (also the Socialist Bloc, the Communist Bloc, and the Soviet Bloc) was the group of communist states of Central and Eastern Europe, East Asia, and Southeast Asia under the hegemony of the Soviet Union (USSR) during the Cold War (1947–1991) in opposition to the capitalist Western Bloc.”
Either way my point stands, they don't listen to the US.
You may be ignorant but I fail to see what's blissful about this.
S Yu, 12 Sep 2019Former USSR countries don't listen to the US.Ignorance is bliss, ain't it? Do you even know what eastern Europe actually is? I struggle to recall since when eastern europe means ussr, well, their is nothing like that in my history books but maybe you forged some.
Still want to know what this fiasco with Huawei and lord Cheeto cost Samsung to start.
" but they will still offer the best Android phones regardless of Huawei's position"
"Huawei has never been banned and probably never will be because people here still buy Chinese phones, but not as much as Samsung"
And Samsung still Number 1 OEM

Onl... moreSamsung were still doing good before the ban, even if profits weren't as good. This is due to an over saturated market. Other phone manufacturers are having the same problem or worse. Huawei's success is more about better value for money. Rising prices is something Samsung needs to address I agree but they will still offer the best Android phones regardless of Huawei's positionÂ… end of.

I think it will affect them more if ban stays longer. (even though country matters too)
"Moreover, the imposed Huawei ban has given Samsung some breathing room and the company didn't hesitate to snatch some market share."
Huawei has never been banned and probably never will be because people here still buy Chinese phones, but not as much as Samsung, LG or Sony because those are the most known brands. There's Apple of course but it's too expensive for just a phone.
t. I live in eastern Europe.
S Yu, 12 Sep 2019Former USSR countries don't listen to the US.Maybe former comunist countries. Not former ssr. Not all of eastern Europe was part of Rusia ever.
Huawei was literally on its way to become no1 in each continent including Asia and Europe. Only no US amrket. That would have been more than enough for them to solidify their no1 spot worldwide by end of 2019.
Samsung only doing good again because of Huawei ban. End of
Even though I dont really like the UI and design of Xiaomi and Huawei phones I am really glad they are here. I mean they forced Samsung to sell A50 starting from 350 instead of the almost-same-performance-in-all-aspects A9(2018) started with a price-tag of 600. Even though not enough its a lot better.
In my homeland A9 started out around 4.2K price
Around that time s8 was around 3.7K or so
A50 came out with 2.8K price and is now 2.5K
Competition is the answer to most problems
Anonymous, 12 Sep 2019Xiaomi is great but so many adXiaomi Redmi global version for most of the countries do not have ads, only a little of them have ads.
Anonymous, 12 Sep 2019Last year Huawei were 30 million plus handsets behind Samsung.
This year Samsung changed it... moreSo you say globally not that easy for Huawei to be No.1 ban or not. Honestly it'd be fine to me since I'm not H.'s fanboy but I'm afraid they can't be stopped to try. On the other hand (Chinese) competition "helped" Samsung to make this A (and M) series which is part of this result. (I still remember J with wrong SOC and wrong price)
Article's about central and east Europe, it's possible if not ban and foremost Galaxy A Huawei might take over in this region (not globally) where midrange phones sell more than expensive phones. IDK for sure, it's possible.

This year Samsung changed its whole portfolio with the midrangers and they are helping Samsung to shift even more devices.
When America imposed the ban people in china started buying more huawei devices so their sales didnt really fall and yet Samsung still sold more in the 1st 2 quarters.
Samsung were always going to be Number 1 OEM at the end of 2019.
Anonymous, 12 Sep 2019haha lol where is oneplus ?OnePlus is doing fine especially in India.
AFAIK, Oppo, Vivo, Realme & OnePlus are all owned by BBK, so if you added them together they would be top or near the top of the list.
Anonymous, 12 Sep 2019Xiaomi is great but so many adhttps://www.androidauthority.com/remove-ads-xiaomi-miui-1019139/
No more ads after this.
IpsDisplay, 12 Sep 2019Thank America for this SamsungI get this as Huawei would be fist if there was no U.S. ban on them. (for those who reply below)
I wonder how long that ban will last...
Yes, situation is exactly like this.Market share can for Samsung can fall if Realme come.
