Too bad your wished that this Fold will... moreExactly, all of current folding phones has absolutely NO practicality whatsoever, people buy them only so that they can show them off to other people. As you say Mate X and Galaxy Fold won't fail, because they are both DOA, before even getting released to the mass market.
HoldEm, 21 Sep 2019Wow 10% practical. Something is wrong with your logic. Too bad your wished that this Fold will... moreConsidering that it's durability is a joke, I see many people in service kiosks asking for repairs.
Also it's not like this thing is out a long time to say if it's failed or not.
If you like it, by all means go ahead. But for normal people and people like me who live on the edge, this thing is a no go.

Samsung's advice is to care for it and pamper it!
Use light touch, keep it aways from water and dust, put it in feather cases, let it sleep on carpet-covered counters and so on.
Yet, Zack chose to ignore all that! Of course it would make Samsung look bad! yet if used as intended, it should last centuries!

Don't tell... moreI'm just having a hard laugh because of blow 7 seven and bend 5 times to crack. Instead of just delaying the launch and make sure the unit will actually last. Btw, a trip to the beach is much worse than a razor blade. But scratches was not the problem, cracked screen was.
I would say disastrous product. Screen durability is joke same as hinge exposure to tiny objects. Better leave this product in history books, 2000 wuris definitely not worth it
[deleted post]But he is right.
Samsung wasting planet resources on a device which can be scratched just by fingernails and ask 2000 forit.

razor is used to be mean hardness scale

Walter C. Dornez, 21 Sep 2019How many people actually use their nails to use their phone?Women do that all the time while trying to type with their fingers, if they have long nails. And that's a trend so, most of them do.
Expected.
Show off: 90%, Practicality: 10%
This thing isn't built for living conditions. Leave it on a bed, on a sofa, inside a pocket etc, and stuff WILL get inside it. Screen is basically non scratch resistant, meaning 0% protection against even plastic things, like a painting stylus?
So no, this is not designed to live like a regular smartphone. It's built to live like a headache. All the time for you to worry if the thing is still ok or not.
Sooo.., no. Fail

Maybe they should make a survey about this.
HoldEm, 21 Sep 2019The Fold is setting a new trend by using your fingernails. I'm not sure if you're trying to make fun of me but, when using a touch screen, sometimes your nails can touch it instead of your fingers.
I doubt it happens only to me.
