Even without google services it will be the best selling flagship on the earth or seond best because of Redmi K20 pro which will be number 1 due to low cost and very high specs.

realitychecker, 21 Sep 2019huawei confirmed the mate 30 series to come with bootloader unlocking... whatever that means. ... moreInteresting...i dont feel the needs to unlock bootloader since using Huawei (on all previous Xperia i unlock). But due to the ban, i think they has no choice.

Its easier on the vanilla Mate 30, but without physical volume rocker on the Pro, i wonder how.

Bootloader unlock? Unlikely.

How to access flash mode & fastboot mode without volume rocker? Unless they has tiny button pin-use on the sim card tray.

Mate 30 Pro is so advanced, I want to buy it right now. E.g. with note 10 plus, i can not open garage door during a call, as internet does not work during a call. Huawei has no problem with that.

If they finally make it possible to unlock the bootloader + installing all the normal stuff is possible, I might finally buy Mate 30 X after years of avoiding Huawei products.

The price should have been bit competitive, it's on the higher side... They have to come over all the shortcomings to achieve that number

So as far as I can get this is how Chinese OEM are positioned:

Xiaomi - Affordable devices that are most of the time really good
OnePlus - Premium devices with great features
Oppo, Vivo - Quirky devices that are designed most of the time with certain niche or weird features.

Meizu - Great hardware design, bad software, so-so price

But as of right now, I can't see where Huawei falls on this. They are expensive as Apple/Samsung, they have tight ties with Chinese Communist Party, and over all that, they have those backdoors issues in their network equipment that are still not solved.

And before Winnie Pooh online gang shows up, lets mention some positive traits: They are at least trying to do something good with their cameras and their CPUs , but other than that, sadly they are going the same way of Apple: no 3.5mm jack, no microsd slot.

I am seriously interested in seeing how all this ends up. For one side, I would like to see more stores opening up in the Android world. And on the other, I hope this makes Google take Android more seriously and polish their ecosystem to a new level.

And for now, I highly doubt that AppGallery is going to work outside of China. At least my co-workers and friends have knowledge of all the Huawei ban thing, and well, they are not so sure they are going to create a Huawei Account just for that stuff.

If Huawei can do away with their EMUI and make their new phones easier to install plain Android by users, think that could help them reach the sales target easier.
