This is a lie. If you come to them on the street and ask them what makes them choose AirPods over other brands they will say "because of their quality and usability" but that's just the easy answer. The reality is most choose those because they are Apple and Apple is the most popular brand.
Too bad they have absolutely terrible sound quality. Rather get bose headphones or real headphones.
Anonymous, 28 Sep 2019Hahahah sure, sure... cause calling people sheeps is criticism and not insulting at all.
Y... moreApparently, I've been replying to up to 4 different people all this time, I thought it's only 2. You're all using the default Anonymous name, so I didn't notice sooner. If you felt like my statement was coming out of nothing, then that's my bad as I've been replying to different people and some are disrespectful and even one has a clear hate against Indians.
Obviously, I was highlighting Apple's negatives as I was criticizing it. What do you want me to say? That the new iPhone has a wide-angle camera now? Or that it has a wider range for scanning your face as they've "improved" it? Or maybe that the Pro models have the 18W charger out of the box. Clearly, they are all just minor improvements. And of course, you're forced to deal with it as only iPhones have iOS. We all have a choice, but if you want to stay in the Apple ecosystem, you just have to learn to deal with what ever they bring. You get what I was trying to say now?
I just mentioned the Palm phone, coz it's the most recent one that I've criticized about. I put "Recently" in the beginning of that sentence to imply that it's just one of the others. I guess you failed to get it. It's just an EXAMPLE as I've criticized different phones coming from different brands.
Anonymous, 28 Sep 2019I'll give you lack of innovation. Apple is a very careful and prudent company, especially afte... moreSo what is your point? Basically, you, yourself, acknowledge the things that I criticize Apple for, but your point is just try to deal with it/them? Oh well, it can't be helped, if you're fine with them, then good for you, but don't tell me that they don't deserve any criticisms. It's not as if I was trying to convince anyone here to go against Apple, I was just stating facts and my opinion on those.
What your problem with Indians? I'm not an Indian, but you keep dissing them talking like they are just a bunch of poor people trying to hate what they can't buy, when in fact, you're just in the working/middle class yourself. I see that Indians get to you; don't worry, even if Apple goes within their budget's reach, your claim will never happen, because I see through you that they are more educated and not full of fanboyism.
Stop acting like you're not a fanboy, coz if you weren't, you would have ignored all of the criticisms otherwise, especially if you're really getting tired of those. And criticisms won't stop, because Apple's just getting worse and worse over these past few years as you just acknowledged that the criticisms against them are legitimate. So maybe you're the one who needs to get a life as you're the one that's still affected by these over the years?
Anonymous, 28 Sep 2019The memes I'm talking about are the ones that involve real life people, not pop culture refere... moreThat's what I was trying to say. And regarding the stand and every other ridiculous design choices and features that they've brought, they got headlines from several news articles for it, and that's their real motive, that's why I find them most of the time cringy.
You said it yourself, people want convenience, so having the option to have physical copy of your files that's accessible through different devices all the time will always be the best, whether you're on the go or without connection to the internet, instead of not having that option at all. And right now, I have a good set of wired headphones, it would be troublesome if I have to use a dongle everytime I use it. It's all about having the options. And premium phones focus mostly on having the most premium and futuristic look, so they are prepared to take some compromises. If it's fine for you to not have them, then good for you, but for people like who use them, what I say is that it's always best to have all the options than just deal with what they offer you.
Lastly, FaceID is definitely more secure than the optical in-display ones-I don't how they compare to Samsung's ultrasonic-but if someone knows what they are doing, they would be able break through it regardless, at the end of the day, it just all comes down to convenience. I've seen from one reviewer that the improved FaceID felt just the same, he could barely feel the difference since you still need to raise the phone in front of your face or your face in front of the phone for it to work.
No use criticizing Apple. Tons of naysayers with tons more influence did it before you. Nothing much happens.
Apple still held up. They did not force you to buy, nor did they once argue about their mistakes. Their products generate such hype that you see “sheeps” arguing with you.
Millions of people complain its expensive, that in itself means people will likely pick iPhones if they could. People will not waste their breath if its not worth it.
Price is based on demand, the demand is so high so it cost so much. See when Samsung improves, so does their phone price. Do u not think huawei or xiaomi will not jack up the price if they are on the top, and the last ones remaining?
So, rather then criticizing, bitter and confuse why the world is filled with “fruit sheeps”. I have a suggestion. Understand what make Apple great, so you might troll better :)
Inverted snowhuouV, 28 Sep 2019You don't know what direction? Lack of innovation, introduction of phones that cost a grand, r... moreI'll give you lack of innovation. Apple is a very careful and prudent company, especially after Steve Jobs died, so they won't release something until they have full confidence in it. The prices of their smartphones and other products are exorbitant, but then again you should know what you're getting into when you buy any of their products. Better get some extended warranty if you're a clumsy or careless person.
Apple never saw themselves as an ordinary tech company and they never will, so if you don't have the money then play the waiting game, or get a refurbished/used/older model. You assumed that I'm rich, I can assure you that I'm not lol. But if I wanted one of the new iPhone 11s badly enough I could get one right now because of the various monthly installment plans. I bet if India for example had it too then the number of jealous and irate iPhone haters would decrease by a lot, but alas they have to pay the full amount.
As for third-party repairs, that's also a legitimate gripe. I guess they want to maintain a certain level of quality and assurance by preventing inexperienced randos and uncertified people from installing unauthorized parts. I'm not saying it's right, but it is what it is and I'm not losing any sleep over it.
Look, there are plenty of good Android alternatives out there so the iPhone isn't the be-all and end-all. The point is you have choices, really good choices, but you act like Apple is the only company that is making high-end smartphones lol. No one is forcing you to buy anything from them, why can't you haters just move along and be happy with whatever crap you're using? Or do you lose a lot of nights thinking about dear ol' Apple?
Some criticism is fine, especially if it's legitimate, but saying the same s**t over and over ad nauseum is p@thetic, truly p@thetic. And Apple gets substantially more hate than any of the companies you mentioned before. I'm not a blinded anything, like I said before I'm not even an Apple fan, but I'm tired of people like you regurgitating the same "criticisms" over and over again. Get a life or a girl or hobby dude.
Inverted snowhuouV, 28 Sep 2019Criticism =/= hatred
Everybody criticisizes every company if they're going in the wrong direc... moreHahahah sure, sure... cause calling people sheeps is criticism and not insulting at all.
You went on and on depicting Apple users will just blindly accept whatever Apple releases cause they are "forced" or "bound" to do so, and don't get me started with your obvious undertone bias presumption that everything Apple does it rubbish. Consumers are not bound to anything; they will buy or switch to whatever brand/make be it Apple or Android, cause they can and want to, maybe even own both.
Don't put words in my mouth when you have none mate. I never once said it was okay to insult others; you were the one who started it by calling Apple fans as tech ignorants and sheeps.
Wow, so you critique Palm therefore you are entitled a pass from taking a swipe at Apple and their fans? Equally great logic you have there, awesome.
Ineverted snowhuouV, 28 Sep 2019No, it's still the same as it's always been. There are unoriginal and unfunny memes, but there... moreThe memes I'm talking about are the ones that involve real life people, not pop culture references like when they first started to appear. Those were funny, the ones with regular people are cringy. I guess the quantity diluted the quality of the memes, at least from my perspective. That's not to say there aren't any funny memes at all because there are. Anyway, the Apple stand is a joke, but then again the whole Mac Pro line isn't for the average Joe and it was never intended to be. Haters targeted it because it was an easy target and it epitomized Apple's greed, that's all.
And if you want a physical copy of your files then why don't you transfer them to a computer? The vast majority of people want convenience and that means cloud storage and wireless tech. Nobody has the time or patience to play around with tangled wires and tiny little microscopic cards. I'm sure big companies are aware of this, which is why 99% of the best smartphones today no longer come with headphone jacks and/or card slots. The average person simply doesn't care, they only care about their data being safe and easily accessible. I totally fine if my next smartphone doesn't have those features, and if it does then that's fine too. These days I buy smartphones with at least 256GB of internal storage space, but even 128GB would suffice for me and most other people. And I can always use Bluetooth to pair my Powerbeats Pro and all other true wireless hearables so no problems there as well.
As for Face ID, Apple isn't going to abandon a piece of tech they spent so much time and money to develop, at least not for a while. It's pretty secure and I'm not going to speculate how much more or less secure it is than optical fingerprint sensors and other in-display fingerprint reading technologies, but I'm fairly certain it's very difficult to get into. It's worth mentioning that optical fingerprint scanners are much less secure than ultrasonic/3D Sonic fingerprint scanners. Anyways, Face ID can't be tricked with a static image, and Apple improved it so that it can be unlocked from even more angles and greater distances. If I had to choose a biometric method I'd definitely pick Face ID, but since I don't like unibrow notches at all I'll have to settle for the in-display fingerprint scanner instead lol.
Anonymous, 28 Sep 2019What wrong direction? Who's everybody? Are they people in still-developing countries like Indi... moreYou don't know what direction? Lack of innovation, introduction of phones that cost a grand, repairs that cost $599, stoppage of support to third-party repairs, and many more. So Apple has been doing all the right things all this time that it doesn't deserve any criticisms? You're clearly a blinded fanboy if that's the case. You don't know who's everybody? What about the people over at the Samsung articles, Huawei articles, Sony articles, etc. that have been fighting in the comments section criticizing each other? You, sheeps, always talk like you're the only ones who have money, but I always see the argument in most Android vs iPhone arguments that iPhones have higher resale value, which is true, but pretty ironic coming from people who boast their wealth, while at the same time, getting them through contracts and trade-ins. And I just mentioned the Palm phone as one of the recently phones that I criticized against to support my argument, whether it being the easiest or not to support my "flawed" argument is out of the question as you didn't even care to specify my "flawed" argument and you didn't even care to refute it.
Inverted snowhuouV, 28 Sep 2019Criticism =/= hatred Everybody criticisizes every company if they're going in the wrong direc... moreWhat wrong direction? Who's everybody? Are they people in still-developing countries like India? Apple products have always been expensive, that shouldn't be news to anyone. You don't like it, vote with your wallet and shut up already! Both Apple fans and subjective people like me are tired of you smelly, pimply-faced Android nerdlingers leaving negative comments on each and every post or article about Apple just to get a quick and easy ego boost. And Palm?! Seriously?! Sure, pick the most easiest example to further your flawed argument lol.
Anonymous, 28 Sep 2019Memes used to be original and funny, I used to follow them when they first became a thing and ... moreNo, it's still the same as it's always been. There are unoriginal and unfunny memes, but there will be always be original and funny ones too. What I cringe about is how they intentionally set a high pricetag(like the $1000 monitor stand) and/or just bring wacky and memeable products or features to get more attention and get talked about, instead of listening to their customers.
Having the headphone jack and microSD will always be useful. So there are better ways than having a physical copy of your files that you can access all the time, and can be accessed through multiple devices offline? There is no better way than having the jack if you have a wired headphones. There are alternatives, but having them will always be the best way; same for NFC, wireless charging, water resistance, etc. You're just saying that they're obsolete, because you're forced to deal with it with the device that you're using. In-display fp scanner is better than FaceID, you can unlock your phone faster and you can unlock it without the need of holding or raising your phone in front of your face everytime. No ordinary person can unlock your phone without your fingerprint anyway, and if that's the case, someone with knowledge could unlock your phone whatever the biometric that you're using whether it's your face, fingerprint, a password, etc., so it all comes down to everyday ease of use.
Ofc now they will eventually change it, it's been three years. I bet nobody thought that they would stick to the iPhone X's design for three years the first time it launched.
Anonymous, 27 Sep 2019The amount of ignorance you drone on just to justify your hatred against Apple is staggering t... moreCriticism =/= hatred
Everybody criticisizes every company if they're going in the wrong direction. The only thing is, Apple is one of the companies that don't give a f--- about their customers; and you, sheeps, love it.
What a great logic you got there, I'm automatically a fandroid if I try to criticize Apple. Recently, I've critcized the Palm phone for its $350 pricetag and if the utility of a 3-inch phone with low specs is worth the price. I guess, I'm a fandroid and has all the hatred against Apple. You're the one who needs a new hobby instead of getting b_tthurt from criticisms against your favorite brand.
So you're okay with me insulting others, but you get b_tthurt when your favorite brand get insulted. What a hypocrite.
John, 27 Sep 2019Consumer Report stated that the Galaxy Buds were by far the best earbuds. The iphone earbuds ... moreYou contradicted yourself at the end. They're popular because they sell more than other comparable products, but that doesn't mean they're the best. My Powerbeats Pro sounds way better and it even uses the same H1 headphone chip found in Apple's AirPods.
NipponFan, 27 Sep 2019Popular =/= Best. I know that. Again, re-read the article and my original sentence, but this time very carefully.
Anonymous, 27 Sep 2019people in the US has a higher wage rate than some of the asian countries, that is why majority... moreThank you! You said what I wanted to say to that dude but for some reason GSMArena didn't allow my comment to be posted... whatever, I don't care. I knew he was full of it when he couldn't even admit the simple fact that Android is inherently way more inefficient than iOS. A software coder or a simple casual user could've told him that. Which leads me to believe if he even owns an iPhone XS Max in the first place. He is either very ignorant or needs to do some basic research. Instead he ended up talking about bokeh mode and impractical Chinese gimmicks lol.
But you're right, India has very low purchasing power compared to the U.S. and some EU nations, that is why they can't afford iPhones including older gen models. Even poor people here in the U.S. have an iPhone, maybe not the latest version but it's still an iPhone. He can talk about Indians, and Asians in general, being more "educated" or whatever but he knows that's total B.S. They literally have no choice but to pick something else. His inflated/fragile ego and arrogant pride won't allow him to admit the real truth and is hiding behind clever little excuses and lies, and he's not the only Indian with that kind of mentality. In fact it's very typical and commonplace in that country.
What it all boils down to is money. If the average Indian was given a chance to choose between an iPhone or an Android smartphone, and prices were of no concern, then they'd pick the iPhone in a heartbeat simply because it's fast, easy to use, and reliable; oh and purdy and pricey-looking too lol.
Inverted snowhuouV, 27 Sep 2019The funny thing about your comment is that while they are missing key features like ois, nfc, ... moreMemes used to be original and funny, I used to follow them when they first became a thing and now, literally everything is a meme these days. There are better and/or more convenient alternatives to the headphone jack and microSD card slot so those aren't necessary features. It won't be long before they're totally obsolete, whereas OIS, NFC, water resistance, wireless charging are very useful and are here to stay for the foreseeable future. In-display fingerprint scanners aren't as reliable as Face ID otherwise Apple would went with it or stuck with the more secure and faster traditional scanning method. And if you knew about Apple's product cycle then you'd know that they stick with the same design for a few years before changing it up a notch, pardon the pun. I, along with most tech experts, expect them to redesign the entire iPhone lineup next year.
