But not worth the 2000 and it was folded by device humans would fold it with different strenght power etc.
It will last maybe 80 000 folds.
Yea but youre not folding it 2 times a second
Kevin T, 04 Oct 2019I'm really happy & excited to see innovation I love the boldness of Samsung but I person... moreMaybe two separate screens acting like one is probably better than a large foldable one.
Wow!! I like this test. Samsung did a great job here, with normal usage it can last more than the time frame it was given. The number of folds at the speed it was tested on, and nonstop, you expect it to heat up and get messed up quicker.
Great test for me. It show how good this device is. If it can last 3 years with this robot in real life it can go up to 5 years and still usable. Samsung has the best engineering.
AnonD-731363, 04 Oct 2019Man its a folding test. Torture it was for Samsung to decide t make this device and torture ... moreDo you really pressed that hard on the screen with your fingernails when you use your phone? I rarely touch the screen with untrim fingernails.
120k times folding/unfolding by a bot should be enough to demonstrate the strength of this device. That ensures with the normal usage a durability for a long time.

I always love such tests. It's completely useless as it never represent the normal usage conditions so why the hell watch it or even rely on the given comments or analysis? Some YouTube tests are actually usable as it gives an impression of an actual person in real life conditions. In this case a bot is closing and opening the phone at a rate that no one would actually do, certainly all the time.
Bottom line is that such "tests" are only "funny" to watch (and yeah you got to show your face on YouTube) maybe but absolutely not representative.
Constant folding and unfolding is different from folding a few times a day. But then, a person's hands can neither be much rougher or gentler.
Fast folding and unfolding one after another causes the hinge and the border to heat up.
wtf they have been slapping it like crazy and still call it a test
Kevin T, 04 Oct 2019Seriously no one will close & open it 120000 times in one go People need to understand co... moreAgree

Galaxy Ayman, 04 Oct 2019WHAT THE HELL IS THAT? How do you call this a test??!!! what human being would do like this m... moreMy mother in law treat her laptop exactly like this robot lmao
That's not a 120000 fold test... It's a 2.48 fold per second, and is not the same for hinge and screen materials
