Bla, 06 Oct 2019You are right Xperia 5 is not exactly compact "per se". This is a compact version of Xperia 1.... moreThey are still, in no way, compact. Our trousers pockets and hands don't get larger.
3000-something ("small") battery is joke for modern phone. I refuse to buy anything below 5000mAh. Those who says its all about endurance and that smaller batterys sometimes can deliver better uptime due to optimizations dont forget that battery perfomance starts to decrease after certain charge quantity. I can see it on my 5100mAh battery. Currently on 190th charge and performance already dropped from solid 5 days to solid 4 days.

But what is compact phone these days anyway? People expect compacts to have dimensions as they were from 2016. when standard phone dimensions was topping on 147mm of height and minies topping at 135mm. That time is behind us. There are no signs they will ever come back.
Xperia 5 is very gorgeous and unique, I see a reporter holding a phone and showing some image on the TV show, the 21:9 truly stand out from crowded notch/punch hole/waterdrop. I can recognise it is Xperia 5. Other brand just like the same and looks tacky.
Anonymous, 05 Oct 2019Ahhhh I see. So if the device was 63mm wide and 250mm tall they could call it ultra-"compact".They'd call it a "portable tablet".
Anonymous, 06 Oct 2019Yeah..my 15 feet long pole is compact too because it is less than 6mm in width.*60mm

Doesn't Matter what Sony Do they remail the best for me.. Cheaper but just As powerful As any other brand on the market
Sony just needed to make the screen 5.8" and no need for the 6.1" screen and SD 855. A midranger with screen good screen size and handy size is needed. A SD 660 would do the job well and a resolution which gives a ppi just above 300 would have made battery life similar and reasonable performance. SD 660 with a good camera hardware would please most of the camera lovers.
