Kingslayer, 05 Oct 2019I won't be leaving Netflix anytime soon. My parents have been using it for years. I just mooch... moreI gave up on Netflix after they unceremoniously cancelled Sense8 and One Day at a Time. Those are very good shows but apparently, all Netflix cares for are easy to market shows like Marie Kondo or Stranger Things. It's no longer worth it.

The Mandalorian
Falcon & The Winter Soldier
WandaVision
Loki
Hakweye
She-Hulk
Ms. Marvel
Moon Knight
Kenobi

I think it will be more than worth it.

If everyone will have their own platform, most of movies will be available only on those specific platforms. So number content will be limited per platform, so you will end having two or three apps that cost you 6-8$ per month that are not compatible with specific devices so you will need to choose what you watch and where instead of just opening movie on phone/tv tablet like you expected

Honestly? Can't wait until distributors REbuy off the titles back from Netshtickx and Crumpyroll (maybe) and the likes and raise Blu-ray like the phoenix. Or a streaming platform ramps up where you're entitled to INDIVIDUAL titles, for good, even after them being pulled out of the library.

More competition means more competitive pricing.
Expect big discounts and exclusive content from both companies.

We need government-mandated streaming roaming. Streaming platforms are getting expensive and they all want the most exclusives. Just to have the handful of content you actually want, you could soon be spending 100$+ a month. Mobile networks free roaming works so this should be extended.

Also that's a low move from Disney. Netflix probably won't care though as the article says that TV ads are only a fraction of their ad expenses.

Paying to watch all the crap that Disney produces nowadays is the best way to show you are dumb as f***.

The staples of Disney, Disney Channel and Disney XD, are mostly dead, with just a few new shows that are worth your time.

I won't be leaving Netflix anytime soon. My parents have been using it for years. I just mooch off it using a different account. YouTube and Netflix will be my streaming entertainment for life. If I want to watch Disney, I just go to Regal and use my unlimited pass.

Disney is the Apple of entertainment industry as Apple is for tech industry. Both are bad for open market.
