cannot see the benefit of this, is no different to having 2 handsets with you. poor attempt at a dual screen layout.

YUKI93, 13 Oct 2019This is pretty much the same as Surface Duo. The screen from the accesory can flip all the way... moreThe key phase here is "almost the same." Compare each videos, there's an glorifying winner at the end.

Still waiting on the review for this thing. Sprint has it going for a total of $450 after paying in 24-month increments but I want to make sure the battery is worth it.

I think this phone is good, user can opt their phone as either fold-phone with addon or normal/mainstream phone. Microsoft duo is an integrated phone with dual screen, while LG can snap it or not. The only disadvantage of LG, the design of this screen add-on isn't really good, if LG can design it a bit better (thinner bezel between dual screen) maybe a lot of people will like it.

As an owner of this phone I think most of the previous comments are inaccurate. Battery life is fine, I use both screens on and off daily watching movies, playing games, answering emails, making calls, yet I get to the end of the day with 40%. Experience is smooth, cameras capture my active kids easily, and dual screen allows me multitask; browse multiple websites while on the phone, or reply to emails while live streaming. Although I have the option to take the second screen off and go out with the handset alone I find I'm reaching for the second screen pretty quickly. Sure, there could be improvements (a proper screen on the outside so I don't need to open the phone to use it) but all in all a great device, probably the most underrated device on the market

When I look at this thing, it seems Microsoft has done it better. This one just seems like two phones hinged together hastily to catch up with hype that rival Samsung fold created.

I strongly feel ( something that I have said many times before) - efficient use of a smart phone has NOTHING to do with size of the screen, screen body ratio, bezelless screen, double/ triple folded screen and so on.
It all depends on how smart the user of the gadget is, SoC and synced software of gadget. A good camera is an icing.

Rest all is just gimmick in the name of innovation.

NotAnOpinion, 13 Oct 2019After reading this short hands-on, the Surface Duo is definitely superior. This is pretty much the same as Surface Duo. The screen from the accesory can flip all the way to the back.

I definitely love the Dual Screen accessory, but the one for V50 is not my favourite as it's not symmetrical and uniform. Definitely prefer the G8X/V50S one.
