Walter C. Dornez, 16 Oct 2019Funny. My name is Mohamed and I nearly did go the path of monk. There is nothing funny about.
I find my self often hitting the things i cant know or there is no way i should ever realize as true but it is same like yours.
Lonng time ago was working as a cashier at tesco and some old lady forgot her pin code. She trying to pay by card. Well from 10 000 of possible combinations it took me just 1a ttemppt to be correct.
You can imagine how other customers in my cash desk line was looks likes.
Like a rat dig from ground.
But thats a long story it happens to me often.
Sometimes is a gift sometimes a curse.
Walter C. Dornez, 15 Oct 2019True. Though just because something isn't possible now doesn't mean you can't make it later. O... moreNow you speak like a legendary monk known as Mohamed or how was his name.
Or like the stone tablets from Skyrym game where the Dovahkiin the dragonborn had to take journey to the highest mountain in the game to monastery build there.

I really hope you'll make a proper review instead of this AD-like hype snack.
Also, "The expanded field of view is also largely appreciated ensuring an immersive gaming experience" - this is the only sentence that mentions "field of view" at all. I believe you should've mentioned it in the display section.
Did you try Steam Index VR headset? Because "the best we've seen" is not the same as "the best on the market".
What games did you play? Did you manage to take a snapshot of the screen? How deep is black, how is pixel response time? If they don't use pentile diamond matrix fake pixels, and instead use RGB LED pixels, does it affect the color rendition? Does it help with text clarity? How did action games feel? Did you get sick due to motion sickness or slow pixel response time, which is a characteristic of modern LCD displays (compared to OLED)? Can you set the distance between the eyes? Do controllers track fingers separately like Index does? Can I use lighthouses to help with controller tracking?
Lots of questions remain unanswered...
Still out of my reach.. I'd have to settle with my phone as VR headset connecting to the PC using Trinus for now.. Hopefully the technology will be more affordable in the coming years
Walter C. Dornez, 15 Oct 2019Me too. But you wanna know what really got me excited? The Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha. I think their ... moreYes sounds like a very nice idea.
I really wonder what they brings us next.
Even i have a 1000+ sketches in mind how to make a device much more promiising but the idea and the real device which can be made is a totaly different thing.
Becuase in our imagination we can create everything even the dreams which cannot comes true no matter what but in real life if you lack the skill your ideas will go vain they will wanish same way like you me or anyone else created them.
Just because they are impossible to make and made with pressent current technnology.
Anonymous, 13 Oct 2019All of the best VRs in the world are made by hyc until now.all negative comments are for stupi... moreBro while the VR is nice and truely an innovation....which could be use for other things than gaming atm...For the normal person this thing is expensive....Think about the extras which you need to buy in order to run it....So cpu+gpu+ram to run this cost around 3-4k depending on country(here where I live its about 4k if not more) with the cost of this....Honestly I dont wanna waste 5k euro just for some gaming thing....It might help in medicine or other things but for gaming alone it aint worth it atm...IMO

The Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha. I think their idea of curving the glass all the way to the back could be used to add glass to foldable phones, even if one part of the screen is glass and the other plastic.

If this i rather use term gimmick will survive and a second or third generation of it will be unveiled they become very cheap compared to first generation at the time they were released as a brand new.
But lets see still waiting for hands on on Moto Razr Alpha and Mate X.

Now a days. Cell PhonesThese gadgets equate with prices of small cars (used).
Truth everybody comment her didn't and wil not own really VR ، messes
1440 x 1700 (x2 per each eye) is roughly 5 million pixels. Assuming linear relationship between rendered resolution and performance and no CPU bottleneck, rendering content at 90FPS is the equivalent of roughly 7.5 million pixels rendered at 60FPS. 3840x2160 is roughly 8.3 million pixels so if you have a card that can do 4K60 in modern games, you can drive this VR display at 90FPS at equivalent settings.
Meaning you need an RTX 2080 Ti for modern VR titles at the highest settings. 2080 and 2070 Super should be fine with lowered settings, maybe the RX 5700 XT in some games, but lower than that and it's not worth the bother IMHO.
"uses RGB displays that should limit the screen-door effect."
LCDs with RGB Pixel arrangement accentuate screen door effect more than an equivalent AMOLED with PenTile arrangement. So what you wrote is the exact opposite of truth.
Stay classy GSMArena with the misinformation.
