Using "e" or "lite" in the name of any phone destined to be a flagship handset isn't good for consumer visuals, status not does it make for simple and effective marketing for these handset.
The proposed s10 Lite is basically the A90 5G, yet it won't surprise me if the s10 lite is priced fairly higher than the A90 5G!
Anonymous, 18 Oct 2019Cameras will be worse. Speaker will be mono. Screen won't be wqhd. Memory won't be as fast Etc etc IDK why you wrote "wqhd" when the S10e isn't even QHD+, it's FHD+ LMAO
Shadocx, 17 Oct 20196.7" display and 4500 mAh battery, there's no way that thing is lighter than the S10e.Cameras will be worse. Speaker will be mono. Screen won't be wqhd. Memory won't be as fast Etc etc
Lite becaise until it will launch market will already be moving for snapdragon 865 and even now everybody else has 855+. So it makes sense.
absoon, 17 Oct 2019Maybe they called it Lite depending on the weight 😂😂 6.7" display and 4500 mAh battery, there's no way that thing is lighter than the S10e.
This is kinda funny, same processor, good variety of camera sensors, faster charging (which isn't really needed that much honestly), but the bigger battery... with right price this will sell like hot cakes.
Lack of wireless power share isn't big deal, but the lack of headphone jack is. Also we have yet see if this device will have SD slot.
Still happy with my S10e.
I hope they dont use drop notch as secondary camera rather a punch hole display
S series should be exclusive
with too many variants, the S series is kinda cheesy
Pabliell, 16 Oct 2019How is that even remotely "Lite"? It's bigger, with flagship performance, but with different ... moreExactly, there definition of 'Lite' is weird, bigger battery, faster charging, and still have a SD 855 like the rest of the S10 series.
I pray they will use a regular screen on these lite versions and not that stupid edge display...
While reading all, I was thinking that it could be device that will charge my S8...and then came information about screen size.
So....will wait a little bit more, maybe if Huawei gets Google API, some Honor device will be better choices, or Asus will bring something (with SD860) to EU for about 5-600€ (Oneplus are off budget now)
So much for Samsung cutting down and streamlining the model range. The S10 Lite will be the largest and heaviest of the S10 range. I see no reason for this or the A91 to exist. I think the S series should stick to flagship specs in different sizes. At the most the Lite could have been a smaller, plastic/aluminium version of the S10e for people who'd like an S version without the fancy bits and who might gravitate to the Pixels or the upcoming SE2 for the compactness. Here's welcoming another expensive shovel.
How is that even remotely "Lite"?
It's bigger, with flagship performance, but with different camera setup.
Just leave it as A91, it doesn't need to be a part of S10 family.
