Speaking about diagonal display sizes without mentioning different screen aspect ratios is just causing confusion. Why? An iPhone with 4" has bigger screen area than most of other 4" display. The difference comes from the different aspect ratios.
I would prefer less superficial information than that on the commented page.
sounds about right but only if you insist on wanting to hold the entire
apparatus up to your ear despite only needing mic and speaker.
if instead you leave the phone in your pocket or bag and bring just a
headset up on your ear then the phone itself can be larger, you can have both
hands free and you can actually use the touchscreen while in call.
4.3 inch is the perfect size. anything bigger is not a phone.
anything smaller is not a smartphone.
4 inches is the ideal screen size in my opinion but i use 4.3 inches which is the biggest i will go because at the end of the day i need to be able to hold my cellphone comfortably in my hand to make a call.
One of the best choices can be the HTC TITAN, because it has a huge 4,7 inch screen but the cellphone itself is the same big as the Moto RAZR and it has 4,3 inch screen and both of them can be handled with one hand. My problem with the Galaxy Note is that its enormous sizing cause problems for even the very big handed people to use it with one hand too, not to mention the smaller handed ones.
imo the actual size of the phone is more important, ideal size should not exceed 125 x 65 x 9 mm (size of Arc/ArcS/GalaxyS2)
Well,i guess 4 inches is quite enuf for evry user. . Easy to carry n keep in the pockets
By using samsung galaxy note it just seems that anything smaller than 5.3 Inch, is just not right.
yup, less than 4 inch is too small, more than 4,5 is too big. The problem is that devices are still slightly too big. Here's hoping for smaller bezels around the screens.
Anonymous, 15 Mar 20124" WVGA 800x480 is the best, not the FWVGA (960x540 or 854x480)The Samsung Galaxy Note is a perfect fit for me 5.3"
4-4.5" still small for browsing, you tube, text and games.
I currently have a Galaxy Note. It may seem huge to some, but after that first week I got used to the extra size over the Galaxy S2 I had. Now it is just amazing and when I hold any other phone with a 4.3" screen it just feels too small. Don't pick up a Galaxy Note and dismiss it because it seems big. Use one for a week and you will never go back to 4.3" or any size smaller.
4.0" is the most optimal in my point of view although I use 4.3" and I am aiming for 4.5 or 4.6".
