i love small phone like x10 mini but after i switch to sgs and sgs II i think bigger is better, easier to read n type.i never put my phone in my front pocket and i have a small bag at my belt so size is not a big deal.
for the people who still use smartphone as a phone like the old day, they will enjoy smaller size cause all they need is messege and call, but for the people who utilize their smartphone capability they will seek for bigger size.
can u enjoy a normal website in 3.5inch screen?? i dont think so
I prefer the 4 inch or 4.3 for the 16:9 aspect ratio.
Above that size just looks good but it's too wide for ergonomics.

Hey guys@ gsmarena can u tell me what happened to the event of samsung on 15th march in which gs3 was to be announced. this is the link of the original story http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_to_reveal_its_mobile_lineup_for_2012_on_march_15-news-3851.php
Before getting a Galaxy S2 used to think it was fairly large. Now having owned one for a while think could do with a bigger screen - Galaxy Note is ideal in this respect. As for anything below a 4in screen they are just unusable for browsing, etc
Battery life on Galaxy S2 can easily be improved - just buy the Samsung extended battery (with new cover) - gives an extra 35% capacity.
Divy, 15 Mar 2012how about the samsung LCD Flat screen TV...48inch? LOLYou'll need a trailer behind you taking it around mate
Its difficult to handle a bigger screen in pocket.......i think the screen size of 3.7" should be enough for all things like web browsing..etc
I remember when smaller was better - I myself had a SE W880, with a 1.6" (320x240) and only 70gr.
But now, with smartphones, the bigger the better! I had the Samsung Nexus (4.7") in my hand and it feels exactly like the SGS2 (4.3") - the difference is in the aspect ratio that was changed from 16x10 to 16x9.
In my opinion, if we reduce the bezel, we can comfortably go up to 5" on 16x9 (1280x720) - most people will like it and feel like the current 4.3" 800x480 screens.
Uuhhh, excuse me, but this is a "research". If you ask men, 99% of them would rather have 9-inch bazookas, but actually 99% of them have 5-inch sticklets. So? Which is the most popular phone, ever?! Yup, it's the iPhone with its 3.5 inch diagonal. Period.
How about owning 3 devices..? A small and light dumb phone with dual SIM cards for voice and texting. A 5" for calendar and email. And a 10" for browsing and entertainment. You don't have to bring all three devices with you all day but take appropriate one.
For this day and age, anything undee 4.5 is cumbersome and next to unusable.. also hd resolution is a must.
Cowz, 15 Mar 2012wow, 90% of people are too bigger morons to realise that the screen will appear bigger of you ... moreReally ? What about Color Gamut or Daylight Visibility ?
I think best display means it should be visible even in broad light with lower brightness and also produces vibrant colors , and screen size is decent like 3.5 inch to 4.5 inch. not above 5 inch is ok.
For my hands correct screen size is 4.2-4.4 inches.
4.3-4.7, hdmi, atleast 1ghz processor, android, gsm and removable battery.. these r the specs of my ideal smartphone. and no i dont like samsung galaxys..
Anonymous, 15 Mar 20123.7 for carrying in front pants pocketAgree. People who want a 4.5 inch phone must have very little else in their pants :)
I think it is true. Having work with 3.5 display I think it is time for me to move on to larger handsets for the said reasons - movies, video, browsing, some-gaming.
For serious productive and creative visual works though I cannot see any of new devices offer anything solid. Notes offer it but it is way out of the league for me at the moment. So for using the smartphone as SmartToy, I will pick 4+ size of screen. And I am eyeing at Nokia 808.
