The I have used 4.3" / SG2, 3.9" / N9 & 3.5" / i4S. IMHO ideal size would be 4." Thank you.
I am expecting one with scrolled flexy-retractable monitor equivalent to 8" display, with dual mode LTE (GSM+CDMA).
it depends on needs of every one, but it is clear that if you want to watch videos or play games the bigger one is better for you!!
and the problem is moving that device !! i think it is a little bit hard to put it in your pocket !
imagine that you seat in a car and your mobile rings !
it is hard to pull it out ! :)
I think Samsung galaxy s2 skyrocket is the best size for phone & screen both.............phone should be below 130mm long & below 69mm wide and screen size should be 4.5--4.65 inches
3.7- 4.0 is de best. Anything bigger is simply unreasonable and plain stupid. Go buy a tv or something
I also agree that 4 is the minimum you should go for smart phones. Also another factor is important and that is the ppi. With higher ppi in bigger screen everything would look crisp. I am surprised that Apple could not present us with a bigger screen with the current iPhone ppi (which is 330)where ease Sony have already done that on a bigger screen 342ppi on a 4.3 screen in Xperia S. I just bought one and it looks fantastic on 4.3 screen. Thanks to Sony of course.
I agree with this news, and i hope galaxy s3 with 4,3" (800x1280)
Personally, I'd rather a 4-inch screen size, simply because it feels just right. As in the screen isn't too small *cough* iPhone *cough* and the screen isn't too large *cough* galaxy note *cough* Not to mention, those phones with ridiculous screen sizes won't fit in everyone's pockets
i like 3,5 - 4 ". think it's the best size. i prefer tab for bigger screen size
I think the best size is about 4', not that small and still fit in my hand.
I'm using Galaxy Note and don't give a damn how people look at me when I am receiving calls or reading a book on it. In fact anyone that has a problem with me using and liking Galaxy Note can literally go and !@#$ themselves because I do not care what they think about my personal preferences. Amazing, people don't care about wars and other people dying needlessly but wining and crying about stupid phones all day + can not live without moronic social networks and twatters...
My optimum size is 4",nothing more. Size greater than that comprises on physical usability. As someone has pointed out its the overall screen area that matters than the diagonal measurement.
Actually this survey is done in US and UK. they have little big hands i feel, compare to asians say india/china/singapore etc.
According to my research 3.5 is the optimal size with respect to conviniecne and entertainment.
Why measure screen size only diagonally. It is the area of the screen that is more important. A 4" diagonal screen can have lessor area , if the ratio of Length to breadth of screen is too large than a 3.8" display screen, if 3.8" is more of a squarish type. More area means more characters can be fitted on the display. It has been found that iPhone at diagonal dimension of 3.5" has larger display area than the Motorola Defy which has diagonal dimension of 3.7". Because iPhone is more Squarish than Motorola Defy.
Albert, 16 Mar 20123.5 inch is the best size.with 3.5 inch, you can easily buy 5 years old phone, because with such small screen you cannot enjoy the real power of youtube, pdf etc .... i like more than 5 inch screens ...
It's more a matter of phone size than screen size. Ans also the screen definition. I am using for the moment a xperia ray mostly for the size of the phone. Take a phone like that one or an iphone, with no border or edges and you get a small phone, easy to carry and to put in a pocket with a screen size of around 4 inches. Perfect!
