Nobody does professionally editing their own faces, unless a psycho selfie-centric person does it all day :v

And dont trust dxo as i said they are just lab scores. So go get any phone thts been released this yr cause all the phones can shoot great photos. To make it even better edit it.

Although I have no Facebook, twitter accounts or the like...it's odd to me how culture can funnel many things. There are litterally cameras made on Android devices just for people of that Era to use with their app/account. I mean that's the last thing I'm concerned with in life with a blasted selfie camera...

IMX600/608 sensors made by Sony are exclusive order by Huawei and their design team. It's a custom order just like Sony's 4K panel from Samsung. Xperia 1 main shooter IMX445 is indeed superior to IMX400 in XZ/XZ1/XZ2/XZ3 family. It simply is, there is no denying even though it's smaller in every way. And IMX586 48MP sensor is not better than IMX445
Time has shown us that Xperia 1 sensor stack is some compromise because XZ4 was canceled and XZ4 was supposed to be dual cam only and they needed three sensor flagship instead. Not sure what second camera was supposed to be but my guess is either zoom or ultrawide, I doubt they were going to duplicate insane XZ2 Premium stack for low light but who knows at this point. Who knows what's the truth behind all those Isocell sensors as well, maybe Samsung made them buy it as a part of the deal for OLED panels, we'll never know.

Sony makes the best sensors but for their own phones even flagships they don't use their latest sensors. The only time they used their most powerful sensor was during the xz2 era on the xz2 premium. Any other time they'll use an inferior sensor while giving Huawei and other competitors their top of the line sensors.

Considering that Sony has the best camera sensors and that it provides them to nearly any single smartphone maker, it's quite disappointing what they do with own smartphone cameras. So that's why DxO Mark seems right this time :).

The wide-angle lens quality is actually better than the same level, especially in the corners of the image.

Last time I've trusted DxOMark is when they still believed that an accurate and lively color reproduction is just as important as high dynamic range, great detail preservation, fine noise control, and excellent exposure metering.
