In fact saying that the IPhone has a better OLED is arguably a lie but this is subjective anyway.Huawei has guaranteed that their phone will receive security updates, just not from Google. As for Apps, I'm pretty sure there are ways to bypass and install Google services into it.
My point is while this is an excellent phone, it doesn't cost $1.200. If they priced this phone outside to China for the same price it sells in China, everyone would be begging for it be launched globally already.

Best hardware is sony, best phone is from huawei. Lousiest hardware is from samsung, overrated phone is from apple.

I’m not gonna buy a phone for $1200 without google services and without software update and not even security patch update, if you live in china yeah might no need, but other part of the world it’s a dead phone plus I don’t believe Huawei when it comes to sales.

Anonymous, 26 Nov 2019Useless without proper working Google services unless you're living in China :).Actually I'm not a Chinese and I still prefer my phone without Google since not only it breaks my privacy but it also slow down my phone and I can always install whatever applications I need from Google or somewhere else.

Haters cannot stand a fantastic package like this. HUAWEI just needs that Google license now.

No Google spyware, 25 Nov 2019I'll gladly buy a Mate 30 (Pro) without any Google spyware, that's a great advantage in my eyes.Agree and I'm sure it soon will be possible.

The Mate 30 is the best overall package. I don't think it is the best in anything it does but it performs awesome in all fields so it ends up as the best all around phone.
On the other hand, there are two big flaws I'll hold to this phone.
1 - Making a difference between the Kirin 990 and 990 5G. The 990 5G is built with a better process and has better cores while the regular 990 is simply a higher clocked 980
2 - The price. We all know Huawei is a premium brand nowadays, but selling these phones for $1200 is nurturing the idea that they are far ahead of Samsung and Apple and should charge accordingly, and they are not. The IPhone XS max has arguably a better set of cameras and Samsung an arguably better display

Audio louder & clearer than most flagships that also with single speaker
Best performance among current androids considering device with SD865 is not out there and apart from benchmark apps it can beat Apple a13 chipsets in real world usage tons of video out in YouTube where Kirin is faster than Bionics! So yeah best overall

Name me a function other phone don't havecamera hardware is certainly unique ( large sensors), battery tech also (27W reverse wireless charging?), trendy screen and SoC , 3D face ID and under display together(who does that?), acoustic display .... IR .... something , something, not too shabby ha ? ... Not sayin that others don't have / could / would / should / That or Alike or Better.
