Yes, and I add to you the slideness and fluidity of the interface and to be quick responsive.
Dude,u guys dont even has memory card slot,8gb wont be enough (thats a fact, look at iphone users, nobody uses 8GB anymore). Fail in that.Browser,im sure u guys wanna surf the net with everything in it,banners etc,it doesnt even have flash...its like surfing the internet in the 2000's,even android midrange singled core 800~1GHZ devices have flash.Epic fail.
Amonng 100% of mobile device owners in this world. Only 10% are geek, only this 10% cares about whether the phone is quadcore or dualcore, if it has 1 GB of ram or not, etc etc. The rest 90% are just normal users, they just want phone for call, sms, browsing and little gaming sometimes. They do not care much about whats inside the phone and whats running beneath it. They just wants their phone to be stylist, simple to use, have good camera to take day to day pics. So not everyone is geek. Every mobile device has its own category of users. Iphone is example of it. Millions of iphones were sold in the previous years ? Why ? Because its OS is very very simple. Iphone is very easy to use. Its very very stylist. Its a good phone. I am using iphone4s currently. And i didnt buy it for its dual core A5 chip, i bought it just coz its beautiful and easy to use, great camera and siri. Thats just it, i dont care if it has quadcore or dual core. So its entirely upto you. If you are a geek then you will run after quadcores and dualcores. If you are normal user, you will look for the things i mention aboved. And i do really like windows 7.5, thinking of buying lumia 800. The OS is just very pleasing to use. Infact i find it better than iOS in user interface. So basically i am trying to say is that i am going to choose windows os 7.5 over iOS. Now dont say about apps. I know ios has 500,000 apps whereas windows has just around 200,000 apps. I really dont care. I mean, come on do you actually download all those ridiculous 500,000 apps into your phone and use it ?? NO WAY. Its just the important ones that you use. And symbian, android, ios, windows have all the basic and important apps that you will ever need. I am a normal user, there are hardly some 10 third party apps in my iphone4s, some photography apps and some utilities. So guys stop this "oh my god QUADCORE !!!! Oh my god 500,000 apps !!!! "
What about the N9 Nokia? In Portugal the 1.2 update doesn´t exist yet... And the battery is still a no-go for such a great machine... Answer please.
ok guys girls whatever your phone OS & High End Hardware (Quad Core HD or Retina Display etc) still need PC/Notebook/Netbook with OS called WINDOWS hehehe. your smartphone is nothing without windows pc support.
nit, 28 Mar 2012Nokia also has new phones in their line up eg: Snow, and Nokia Tablet etc, etc.Nokia Tablet wow that will be really something for nokia, following the pioneers
AnonD-2663, 29 Mar 2012samsung, lg, and htc, are releasing phones based on the wishful thinking of a few geeky androi... moreYes, advanced features like being able to change a wallpaper, oh wait, you cannot do that, how about taking a screenshot? Nope cannot do that either.
Win Win, 28 Mar 2012Nokia and Windows 8 will succeed!!!!!!in ur dream..hahaha..nokia's 'great achievement' is now over..they are too way behind the leader(android)..
samsung, lg, and htc, are releasing phones based on the wishful thinking of a few geeky android fanboys, which is a very dangerous strategy that will ultimately fail once technology reaches that inevitable plateau: quad core, 720P screen. In contrast, Nokia and Microsoft are taking a different approach and concentrating on delivering a better user experience through advanced software, adding features that people will actually use.
I'm pretty sure gsm arena won't update their Lumia 800 battery test when this comes out.
AnonD-3234, 28 Mar 2012Bro You dont know about HTC this has brought an awesome phone called HTC one X and its far far... more
am an android and multi-core fan. But i have to agree on some nokia dudes here. Why do you need a quadcore for a simple task as calling and sending SMS? even a dual core is more than enough. Each of us has our own needs for a phone. A geek's need is different from a Teacher or a Business Executive. You shouldn't be bashing around on those reasons. Before Androids even iPhones, Nokia is already there like Ancient China. While the US(Android) is still a bunch of jungles and barely clad indians, China(Nokia) Has already a Government Monarchy and and is already building machines and the greatwall of china. I bet my ass you use to use nokia before. Nokia is a Legend, A Hero of the Ancient Times, While our beloved Android is just on it's way on throne. Kobe bryant won't ridicule Micheal Jordan. You should do the same.
Nokia Windows 8 PHONE + 2CORES + pUREVIEW = Androids bit by bit lost on the market...LOL
Anonymous, 28 Mar 2012Ahh, the spec wanking is on. Who would've guessed? LOL so true. Specs make a difference but they're hardly the be-all and end-all!
I'm just shock that Sprint doesn't just jump all over this phone. It's a CSMA, and it's right up their alley. There customers are asking for a new Windows phone.
The update is not only good but also lets people know how serious Nokia is. They are paying attention to all the minute issues concerned with the device. This update brings in features which are very essential. Keep the good work going Nokia !
AnonD-3234, 28 Mar 2012Ya you can compare the specs its straight which is the best and which is the worst .Even they ... moreAt the time of quad cores,Nokia will simply issue a super strong flagship Windows 8 dualcore smartphone based on the snapdragon S4 architecture because a superstrong dualcore is all you need my friend. My 3year old laptop runs on an AMD dualcore and is blazing fast for my needs,so what's the point of switching to quadcore? If you noticed some GSMA subjects ago, there's a device that was benchmarked on android with Snapdragon S4,it was incredibly fast,AND had surprisingly good battery life with a mediocre battery(for all that big screen).Imagine if you could, what Windows phone 8+Snapdragon S4+custom Nokia firmware optimisations will bring in terms of everyday performance-stability-battery life..you can't
I don't Samsung, Nokia, Motorola or any other smartphone manufacturer will ever be as good and competitive as Apple and the iPhone. Apple's OS is just so fluent and easy to use with great accessible content and apps. If Samsung and the other manufacturers has IOS they would succeed and be better than the iPhone 4/4s. Also Apple take pride in the materials they use to build the devices.
