iRiver has made better media players than Apple for a while now. Tested by me, by professionals, etc.

If they release a linux based phone, than that's the end of iPhone.

iRiver surpasses Apple media players in:
      - sound
      - features
      - price

I hope iRIver will launch this piece of technology soon. Yeah, one more thing, if iPhone is 499 with contract iRiver will sell it's device for 199$ with contract. They always did that. While providing better quality and features.

The UI of current page is not genuine iriver'UI. The UI was required by a customer ( BtoB)

iriver does't make that UI. That UI is not iriver's UI. That UI is required by customer(GSM service provider). So iriver made that UI like iPhone. and iriver makes another UI(iriver's UI). if you want to see iriver's UI, you would go to http://www.iriver.co.kr/notice/notice_view.asp?idx=1417

the casing looks too boring... the interface is a rip off.. even the most stupid person can see that.. they should have used different icons if they didnt want it to look like a copy of the iphone... i didnt like the iphone anyway though it has great interface the price over functionality killed it for me... if iriver offers 3g and wifi it might have a place in the market.

it's a shame iriver are doing one of these crappy touchscreen things, though sound quality has always been better than any ipod has ever dreamed of [that's the word of 99% of all reviwers & technical peoples] it's still not enough to fork out on a screen still only tiny in pixel dimensions and not very imaginative. at least it say's it might have wi-fi which is still an improvement over the crappy iphone.

Nice clone. But Apple will release a 3g iPhone by June, so this thing will be 6 months too late. And who knows what Nokia is up to behind closed doors. Nice clone though.

iPhone, iPhone, ... sheeeesh, when this stupidness will end, why remember that iPhone stole the idea from LG ??
Indeed the look of iRiver ain't the best, but who said that iPhone looks good?

"however, we could expect much better sound quality from an iRiver"

Come on, iPhone uses the same audio chip that the iPods are using, and the same that all Samsung phones get, don't you read the GSMArena audio quality tests!

Currently of all tested mobile phones plus an iPod - there is no better sound quality mobile than the ones that have the Samsung audio chip.
