AnonD-36731, 29 Mar 2012Serious question so don't tried to read any alterer motive into it .....
What proportion o... morePretty difficult to get the numbers mate. Reasons are obvious, categorizing by o/s has to be done by a third party like gartner / neilson. they can get accurate (or near accurate) data from only specific countires /markets. Ex: Us, UK etc, one reason is those markets are operator/carrier driven.
Let me try to collate the info, US users contibute to around 6% of total mobile users worldwide, this might have increased a little bit by now.according to this report approximately 3% are smartphone users, now out of that android has 48% and iOS has 43%. In short % of android users in US alone - 1.5%
% of iOS users in US alone - 1%.
refer to the nov report of neilson for o/s wise stats.
also the list of users world wide, little old data buyt still very helpful if you wish to do some calculations
guys apple makes one phone a year and there are hundreds of android phones released in a year...Just one phone and 32% market share is simply incredible
Meh..this is only a snapshot of subscribers for one month - anyone got the data for the whole of last year?
Apple has now practically giving away the iPhone 3GS (aka Apple budget model)
Anonymous, 29 Mar 2012RIP Blackberry RIP Windows Mobile RIP Windows Phone RIP WebOS RIP Symbian Like this
Expected it to be more than that by now...
Who doesn't own a smart phone these days?
iphone 4s is a cheap glass phone that easily shatter expensive yeah i know it's expensive but the durabilty of the phone? duh they say it's gorilla glass? what kind of gorilla glass baby gorilla?
User friendly is the way to go. IOS phones tops this in all areas. Many Google phone users like myself have difficulty navigating through the menu which is deeply embedded. Lol
Wait until the Lumia 900 comes to the US in April 8. Lumia 900 launch is said to be ATT's largest launch yet.
Fail, 29 Mar 201248% OF android means all the android devices weather its 'galaxy y' or 'nexus prime' ios means... moreWe should use the terms Galaxy S2s and Galaxy S3s are there are already about 12 different S2s .... but anyway ...
I am not sure if the S3s will be a direct replacement for the S2s for everyone as they look to be planned to be larger.
IMO manufacturers have become fat and lazy and are building larger devices with more features (which is very easy) rather than putting more functionality into conveniently sized devices.
Serious question so don't tried to read any alterer motive into it .....
What proportion of worldwide smartphone users to Americans make up?
Anyone got specific stats for WM, Android and iPhone?
android maniac, 29 Mar 2012iphone is never going to go over android .. When the quad core phones come out .. Android will... moreAndroid may not always be ahead but the fact that it is so customisable and the power. People may eventually get bored of apple and its simple os. A big company such as nokia and maybe some one else even as big as rim or an fellow android company like Motorola may go bust but android will always survive!

AnonD-42720, 29 Mar 2012Apple's iOS is back on track. And soon like before it will gain the pole position.iphone is never going to go over android .. When the quad core phones come out .. Android will have minimum 70% of market share
I am confident iOS will regain domination if and when Apple releases iphone with a viewable screen dimension of at least 4.5". The current position is highly based on Android phones featuring that screen size. I know there is high expectation for iphone with such screen size.
AnonD-42720, 29 Mar 2012Apple's iOS is back on track. And soon like before it will gain the pole position.don't be so sure,
most of android power user right now were waiting for SGS III or any Android phone with Quad CPU (Huawei, HTC)
Apple's iOS is back on track. And soon like before it will gain the pole position.
RIP Windows Mobile
RIP Windows Phone
