Anonymous, 03 Dec 2019But it is future proof and it will force manufacturers to put more ram in their phones.lol, how much is your average ram usage and how long you're going to keep this phone (assuming you even plan to buy this)?
Anonymous, 03 Dec 2019If Switch emulation comes to Android it will probably require huge amounts of RAM like in yuzu... moreHow ignorant are you. Desktops struggle to hit playable framerates in yuzu yet you think a cruddy SD865 mobile SoC will do the trick. And that's ignoring the fact that you somehow think yuzu is ever coming to mobile in this phone's lifespan.
Anonymous, 03 Dec 2019But it is future proof and it will force manufacturers to put more ram in their phones.Oh yeah really. Because that SD865 is totally gonna be useful in half a decade when 16 gigs actually becomes the standard. That's like the equivalent of thinking a galaxy s5 would've been future proofed for 2019 if it just came with 8 gigs of ram. Honestly, thinking RAM is all that matters for future proofing is straight up ignorant.
joe nodden, 03 Dec 2019Ok I'm not one of those people that says 12GB of RAM is useless in a phone, but 16 for sure is. If Switch emulation comes to Android it will probably require huge amounts of RAM like in yuzu for PC so nope it's not useless
Didn't mi 10 got announced in the Qualcomm tech summit a few hours ago? Or mi 10 pro is a different model?

I wish the Mi series came with mSD slots. Especially the SE. It's a rare compact phone, but can never buy one because of no expandable storage.
Anonymous, 03 Dec 2019Put 16GB ram and Snapdragon 865. Kill them all in speed test.Ok I'm not one of those people that says 12GB of RAM is useless in a phone, but 16 for sure is.
Gusta, 03 Dec 2019I said below 8.5mm.. 8.4, 8.3, 8.2, etc..
For example Meizu 16s Pro has 3600 mAh on 7.7 mm th... moreyeah, i like thinner phones too, thats why i get the Mi9 and i am not regret it...i love the phone, the problem to have such a thinner phone (Mi9 i think is 7.6 thick, but i have a case on it like make it 7.9/8mm thick) is when typing on the sides of keyboard specially the side you are holding the phone somethimes gets unconfortable to hold the phone, and miss some keys like "o, p, j, k, l, n, m" - thats what happen to me, i have fat and long fingers so, thats why.
but i dont mind, Mi9 have everything i need and like (IR Blaster, Wireless charging, AMOLED display, SD855...blablabla).
Mi 10 to be perfect just need bigger battery (Mi9 only have 3300, and i only get about 7 hours of display on time, with 50% brightness), and if will be thicker, put a headphone jack in it, it will make life easier - at least for me, is my first phone without that and, carrying a dongle or remember to carry it with you is a hit and miss sometimes and gets anoying.
So, combine that with that huge 108MP sensor, the thickness will raise for sure.
B0B, 02 Dec 2019I hope they will do a Mi 10 SEYes to this, keep the form factor compact, below 150 mm x 70mm x 7.5 - 8.5mm is okay (if the battery get more Mah). At least for me, it's still easier to pocket. with the snapdragon 845 or 855 or 855+. and that 108 Mp wide camera+ultrawide+telephoto. and ram 6/8GB, memory 128&256GB adn fast charging 30 watt is enough.

Frustating same naming scheme? Also Redmi K series have same name with Mi T series.. Too many phone list but they are the same. Confusing..
Make Redmi series below Mi series! Don't overlap each other..
They should get their series synchronized. With all those: note lite pro redmi mi cc premium pro k t ... one gets seriously confused about what phone you are actually buying right now...and I don't mean us technerds, I mean usual customers. It's just easier to buy any iphone actually.Talking EU here. I know the indian market is used to weird numbers and phone series.
Hope they won't remove anything and add:
- Dedicated SD card slot
- Upgraded chipset
- 12GB Ram version
>We also saw a Chinese certification recently which detailed two upcoming devices that will support 66W fast charging.
Tbqh, if I get a phone with such fast charging, the first thing I'm going to do is to look for ways to disable it, because it's killing the battery. What good is saving couple of minutes charging if your battery capacity considerably shrinks with each use due to overheating?
oPaGanDasTyle, 03 Dec 2019sure, i agree with you but put a 4000mah battery inside a 8mm body is not impossible, but, eve... moreI said below 8.5mm.. 8.4, 8.3, 8.2, etc..
For example Meizu 16s Pro has 3600 mAh on 7.7 mm thick and small body. So, to achieve larger battery with a little bit thicker than 7.7mm and larger dimension I think it's quite possible. Huawei Mate 30 non Pro is also has 4200 mAh with only 8.4 mm thickness.
About the camera bump caused by large and thick sensor, yes I have no solution about that. Maybe some people like large camera and thick body and some people like me like more stylish phone instead of bulky phone. IMHO bulky phone suitable for gaming oriented phone which is gaming enthusiast.
Hey mr Lin Bin how about Mi9 pro global edition will be also unveiled or not? Did You forget on Mi9 pro global? Still waiting.. For that phone.. Last year we had mi8 pro in global edition before Christmas!
