All those wanting a "Jack" in their Iphones, fear not. Now apple can "Jack" up their prices twice per year.

          They are feeling the heat.
Both marketshare and projected sales numbers have been dropping.

For those still whining about no headphone jack, all I can say is, you guys are seriously missing out: earphones without wires offers a severely underrated convenience and freedom, particularly in sports use don't underestimate it if you haven't tried it.

also there are bluetooth adapters from audiophile companies like Fiio with MMCX/2-pin cables to fit existing audiophile iems which not only supports all the bluetooth codecs, but also have near imperceptible latency and sound quality compared to the wired, and it's only gonna get more better/improved every year.

There isn't much headphones that uses Bluetooth 5.0 or 5.1, and all aptX codecs like LL and HD. These are the features needed to become almost as good as wired ones but there isn't any of that from Audio Technica, Sony and Bose.

Or were you part of the engineering team that removed the jack on the note 10 just to add 100mah to battery capacity?

Not good for resale. This is one of the reasons spending big on an Apple phone is acceptable. Risky move.

But actually yes, that's unless if Apple decides to focus on midrange phones too. Like that SE2.

Wireless headphones and earphones (like the AirPods) just makes the device smarter and more efficient. Efficient in terms of, incerasing space in phone (and allows for other components like that IR Blaster) to be installed.

Twice a year, is it half the cost? I think apple is soon to die.its market is shrinking.

I'mPhone, 03 Dec 2019Are you kidding me? Headphone jacks are so 10 years ago. I choose IR Blasters still10 years ago according to some commenters, headphone jack audio wasn't good back then. Starting when LG introduced Quad DAC to smartphones, the rest are catching up to wired headphone audio. Having Apple remove it back in 2016 makes us all take the headphone for granted. They all realize how important that thing is to a Smartphone in general. Taking it away is lobotomy, it makes the phone less smart.

Hmm, 03 Dec 2019What you smoking i'll have some of that please! :DNo, I'm not smoking. It's unhealthy. LG definitely is still innovating in terms of audio. Apple needs to get inspired by LG when it comes to audio especially Quad DAC powered headphone jack.

If Apple can make the Kinect smaller with the FaceID, they can shrink down Sabre DAC to a size of a small daughterboard or even smaller.
