Samsung does not excel on this category on mid-range. Second, cameras. They're far from quality especially they can't install GCam because of Exynos chipset, which is also weak in today's standards.
Finally, price. You get the build quality of course, but their pricing is way too high.

Samsung A series are mid-rangers, yet the A7-A8-A9 (and their successors: A70-A80-A90 etc) always priced at almost flagship line even with midrange spec. Now if people say Chinese manufacturers cut corners to sell phones with similar spec while having much lower price, I genuinely curious which corners? The only way to justify Samsung's high price is to reveal what corners they didn't cut.

Look, the device has very good specs you know, not the best. Also, if the price sits the same with OnePlus 7 Pro, this will get an attention to consumers.

I don't know WTH is Samsung planning releasing phones with the same design, I mean what is the point, if the leaks come true the S, Note, and A line will all look the same for the next year. If you pay a high price for a device at least you can expect that it stands out of the crowd.

Before I ordered my A70 that's coming today, I very nearly got the A90 5G not because of 5G (not likely coming to this city soon, even if it is in the larger one 15 miles away already) but because it was essentially an A70 with a flagship chipset (and more premium feel). If the price premium was smaller, I'd have gone the A90 route.
This is essentially the A90 4G, and if it'd been released in November I likely have it in my hands right now.
