Well Note10 plus is not doing any better with responsiveness. If you need to take a picture in a hurry forget about it
I've just seen some tech info about the Snapdragon 865 and the chipset supports 144HZ displays and DDR5 ram Maybe Asus is already developing the Asus Rog 3.
Anonymous, 04 Dec 2019Wow that's really cool! Thanks for presenting the misses out info. Please do share any further... moreNo problem glad I was of use. Tonight they are going to reveal new info( hopefully)
Love the Community, 04 Dec 20192019 may not be good but 2020 will be Groundbreaking for HMD Nokia. Juho was there at the anno... moreNokia died long time ago. They never released any device with Snapdragon 855. What a shame.
"Qualcomm tells The Verge that the 865 and X55 are a package deal, there’s no modem on board the 865 at all, and you can’t just make a 4G phone with the 865 by using a different 4G modem."
Either Qualcomm had integration issues, or they decided it was more economical for them to keep X55 separate for 8cx and Apple sales.
3D sonic max fingerprint Qualcomm Google/Android already integrated 3D face unlock with Android they didn’t integrated 3D onscreen fingerprint scanner so no use.
.alpha, 04 Dec 2019Seems like Qualcomm have problem with power draw/heat with X55 so it cannot be integrated with... moreI think Qualcomm doesn’t know how to balance between CPU and GPU?!.
kinit, 04 Dec 2019so our 855+ is obsolete next year hahaha
Yes because your phone immediately burns up the moment the first phone with the new chip is released....
People here sounds like you are disappointed. As if you were expecting much more, which doesn't make sense given that the 855+ was released nearly 6 months ago. Even if they start working on a chip 2 to 3 years in advance the amount of time to actually build the technology is too short between one chip and the other.
As long as this chip performs reliably and accurately then we can call It a success.
Geric.770, 04 Dec 2019So 855+ will be the middle ground between 855 and 865.
Welp, here I come ROG Phone 2!Not exactly. The only difference between 855 and 855+ is just clock speed increases and nothing more. There is no real middle ground between 855 and 865 unless we count Mediatek Dimensity 1000 (not sure about the score of 865).
Get the RoG Phone 2 if you want. I heard from someone that there's a Global 8GB/128GB Strix version that will soon be available.
Geric.770, 04 Dec 2019So 855+ will be the middle ground between 855 and 865. Welp, here I come ROG Phone 2!But it doesn't work on Verizon. The only thing holding me back
Anonymous, 04 Dec 2019Can agree, my snapdragon phone is still like day one even after 1.5 years and my Samsung phone... moreEven my low end Motorola phone worked fine three years when I sold it. But my Sony phone with MediaTek became very slow after six months.
Seems like Qualcomm have problem with power draw/heat with X55 so it cannot be integrated within SD 865. Huawei and MediaTek both managed that with their flagship grade SoC on 7nm+ from TSMC so maybe Qualcomm needs to move to 7nm+ or 5nm to solve the heat issue
Qualcomm doesn't providing 4G only modem with Snapdradon 865. So, every mobile that ships with SD865 will has 5G
Hope they fix the randomly overheating.
Anonymous, 04 Dec 2019MediaTek 1000 still best and fastest.Thats when you dont know anything about smartphones
MediaTek 1000 still best and fastest.
sumdumguy, 04 Dec 2019So a mid-range CPU gets integrated 5G whereas a high-end does not. What gives?I guess the 865 will sell globally and manufacturers will add the modem where there's 5g coverage and the 765 will be a cost saving SOC to be used in countries that already have or will soon have significant 5G coverage.
