Does it incorporate Forward Rendering? Does it use updateable GPU drivers? No, it does not, so ultimately it looses here no matter if it's a half second faster than the 865.

Meh, BORING. Only optional lpddr5 (it still can use lpddr4, so cheapskate oem will use it)

Mediatek ones is much more exciting with 5G-ca, WiFi 6, and AV1 support!!

Taking is consideration that the SD 865 will support LPDDR5 memory it will have an advantage vs the A13 iphones in maxed out Android phones.

                I imagine a OnePlus 8 Pro with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, 256GB UFS 3.0 and 120hz display.
How would and iphone perform better in real world usage in comparison to such an Android phone?

Anonymous, 05 Dec 2019855+ gpu was 15% more than 855 865 gpu is 20% more . . Product segmentation this dumb ???SD 855+'s GPU was UP TO 15% faster due to higher clock speeds.
                  It's basically a gaming optimized SD 855.

The SD 865 will offer a solid 25% generational improvement due to an improved architecture with the added benefit of better power efficiency and sustained performance than the SD855+
We will most likely see a SD 865+ next year as well.

only the 875 would be a substantial upgrade: 5nm, new gpu generation and an integrated 5g modem!

It seems that qualcomm had moved to a 3-year cycle (on the same process and design), intead of a 2-year one, like in the past.

Qualcomm needs to stop using that outdated A55 cores and evolve it to A56 or A57 with 7nm or 5nm process. Better yet, the A55 should be replaced with A73 chips and downclock it but at least, it's miles stronger than 1.8GHz A55 cores.

Qualcomm may have a new architecture a la DynamIQ but they're treating it like it's the s**t big.Little architecture.

Is it better performance and effeciency at the same time or is it like

                                    1.better performance for same energy.
2.same perform for better energy efficiency.

                                      - Bluetooth 5.1, aptX TWS, aptX Adaptive, and aptX Voice

Does these make Bluetooth headphones as good as wired headphones? I love playing rhythm games and pixel perfect audio cues are necessary. I hope these lower latency so much like below 40.

Anonymous, 05 Dec 2019SD865+ is the real version No it's not. The Plus variant is only clock speed increases. Nothing more. No additional GPU core count, no additional tech, just an overclock that you wish your mobile phone can do that like a Gaming PC.
