nearing its death symbian suddenly went on a growth spurt..
i always think symbian has the best functionality of all os.its has all the features we tend to overlook and suddenly cheer for when android or ios has it.
keep in mind what functionality means, its very different from "customization".
i know most people say android has more functionality, when what they actually mean is customization ability..
Anonymous, 03 Apr 2012blablabla... just offtopic. try to write someting about the topic..!!Same to you!
The Best Ever Symbian OS version are S60v2. i'm talk about OS not Hardware.. *Still use 6600 & 6630.
Anonymous, 02 Apr 2012innocent? or you mean ignorant like you? lol! - learn your grammar man! the market share that ... moreI don't say smartphone share read this "profit share" and in business what is most important is the profit than market share.Nokia is not that profitable that's why they lay off thousands of people.please research 1st before post some ignorant comment you don't know what your posting. fyi less than 7% is the current profit share of all Nokia phones including smartphone and feature phones more than 91% of the profit share came from apple and Samsung. from that apple and Samsung gain more money than Nokia does.
DonTallman, 02 Apr 2012I have a C6-01, and I am not amused that Carla is not coming my way.http://symbian-developers.net/the-symbian-belle-fp1-update-pr-3-1-news-availability-and-screenshots/
Hey all nokia anna are getting belle fp1.
but unfortunately you will have to wait bit longer.
DonTallman, 02 Apr 2012I have a C6-01, and I am not amused that Carla is not coming my way.Be happy with Belle.. Nokia did good job releasing it for the 1st gen Symbian^3 devices.
For me it's not a big problem because I'm going for the 808 PureView.
P.S. This shown here as Carla is Belle FP2!!
I have a C6-01, and I am not amused that Carla is not coming my way.
im currently using the g2x and it is laggy.
im going back to nokia symbian. I am eye-ing the nokia 701.
some of my iphone user friends told me that nokia is dead because no one is using it. i told them "in the american market no one uses it, but internationally nokia is still big. Nokia is very much alive!!!"
aaptk, 02 Apr 2012let me answer. i could simply say that 90% of features in mobiles today come from nokia, erics... moreGood job. My friend.
Let's teach the Fandroid troller what is history.
I can't believe man, that X6 have no micro sd, means it a copy of iphone? What a silly argument?
Oh. I forgot that fandroid troller have no sense.
phone arena, 02 Apr 2012another innocent Nokia fan fyi 91‰ of mobile phone “profit“ came from apple and samsung the re... moreinnocent? or you mean ignorant like you? lol! - learn your grammar man! the market share that Samsung is getting now is not becaues they gain out of Android, its because of the decline shares of Symbian. If Android was a life saver, then why LG, HTC and others still left in dark? you guys troll Nokia all the time - i guess you guys are just freakin jealous of Nokia that it didn't acquire Android, so you guys have no choice but to use Samsung's cheap plastic phones and crap camera sensors!
How can you say that profit shares doesn't equates to market share? if you have less market share ofcourse you have less people buying from you then its less profit, dumb.
If Nokia doesn't interest you fandroids, then why you are dipping your ass on Nokia's thread?? it comes to show that Nokia is indeed interesting and still the brand to beat. Nokia started the smartphone journey and still the King of mobile phones.
Bear in mind that Samsung and Apple only leads in the smartphone race for now but not as a whole.
You guys kick your ass out and come back if Samsung nor Apple is the Top mobile phone maker in the world.
nobody dares to comment against Nokia or symbian . It was symbian that introduced the smartphone concept , it was Nokia that gave the world first mobile . And who could produce 41 mp camera sensor in a mobile ? Ur iphone ? It was Nokia . Remember symbian still considered best for file management , and its freedom to implement anything . (usb mass mode , etc ) do u know a single core processor of symbian can handle 41 mp but not win phone . And even a 200mHz symbian can act as smartphone ,( Where android Wil die with that specs ).
The Man, 02 Apr 2012Nice because you can't reply to my accusations you start calling me a troll? Troll is yoursel... morecamera on a smartphne! Nokia did .it first. Nokia had the vision of todays touchscreen phone (capacitive) way back in 2006. n9 was rumoured when n8 was released and it was indeed in works long before it was launched. ICS Copied the buttonless ui of meego .
i wish they introduce more and more of swipe features of d coolest n9.
The Man, 02 Apr 2012Nice because you can't reply to my accusations you start calling me a troll?
Troll is yoursel... morelet me answer. i could simply say that 90% of features in mobiles today come from nokia, ericsson, motorola,... so if nokia copies something it cannot compare with that. anyway
1 n9 was in the works long before honeycomb was released. also, hc has got virtual buttons most of the time, which cannon compare to n9's swipe style in any way. also, tablets are not phones
2 thats just nitpicking, nokia can name their phones any way they like. it has nothing to do with features nor tehnology
3 first qwerty phone was 5510 from 2001. its not similar to bb, but it has qwerty.
4 x6 looks nothing like the iphone, and if i remember n95 8gb had no sd slot
on the other hand, nokia (and ericsson) had the first mass produced mobile phone, first smartphone, first touchscreen, first camera,...
so you see, its pointless saying nokia copied from someone, because thats a drop in a sea.
nokia gets money from patents out of EVERY phone made today, so think before you answer.
