2017 Nokia (3, 5, 6 & 8) will only gets quarterly security patch until October 2020 (January, April, July & October 2020) but no more OS update..

Nokia 8 will get only quarterly security updates. Its upgrade cycle (2 yrs) is over.

I don't know about the importance of the latest month Security Update. I had my phone stuck in June and no vulnerabilities or attacks has ever done to me.
