I know all this because I lived in the Philippines for 5 years and I'm back in the US. The market is completely different. The #1 OEM may always be Apple in the USA. Everywhere I go, it's like 80% iPhone users. I don't see them changing it anytime especially if their entire family and friends uses iMessages and does FaceTime.

I prefer Android but I can't communicate to my family and relatives easily unless I still had an iOS device. In the US, people here don't use Viber like in the Philippines and barely anybody uses WhatsApp. It seems to me iMessages is the main text messaging app for Americans. And they simply can't leave that.

Oppo make really really good phones. Better than iPhone. Most Chinese phones nowadays are better than Apple. Have much better OS's. If only Americans started waking up.
