And why'd you need a SD855 anyway? So you can play lame pay-2-win games because you can't afford a real gaming device with real games? Or just to boast it?

Last year there were cheap SD845 phones too (remember Pocophone?). And SD835, and SD820, and...

I guess some people are excited for reruns.

The presence of powerful budget flagships like the K20 Pro and X2 Pro alone is enough of a reason to consider 2019 an exciting year.
Without them, SD855 would be exclusive only for phones costing $600 and beyond for the next 2 years.

AI slapped on everything even when it works exactly the same way as before,
Super high resolution cameras with bad image quality,
"Hybrid" cropping zoom nonsense,
Bad quality 90Hz panels,
Less competition,
Politics in technology,
Blockchain bubble burst...

If you don't call it boring, then maybe lame, uninteresting or just sad would work.
