Cheap plastic and boring os with no apps, no wonder it has poor sales. Waste of money if people buy it
Nokia Lumia fabula design is still one of my favourite phone design ever alongwith iphone 5s
My father own this phone, working awesome until stolen. Personally I like the design, finishing and durability.
I agree WP have very much better potential if they didn't dis continued instead they will remove the restriction enhance the WP more customization which is people looking gave the people what they want. update like google do they update the version WP very beautiful eco system of software for phone.
I bet this phone runs smoother than a lot of Android sd855 phones

It was fare revenge, Microsoft & Steven Elop played a very dirty game by destroying Nokia & MeeGo OS for favor of Windows Phone the most stupid smartphone operating system ever made with.
MeeGo OS was the right thing Microsoft had to do at that time but they have used a loser (Steven Elop) for such a huge mission.
Man I miss Windows Phone and the great built one piece Lumias.
No one remembers how google made it hard for Microsoft? They wouldn’t port apps and when developers built better YouTube clients than the official ones on android google removed them
Snapchat did the same thing to Microsoft, wouldn’t build an app and even a developer built a better one than snapchat did on other platforms Snapchat removed it
Then there was the lack of banking apps etc because of the small market share
Microsoft are about to get their own back on google by killing stadia with their Xbox streaming service which I’m sure they will enjoy
The problem why WP failed: iOS has ecosystem, Android has customization, and WP has a lot restriction and no real innovation. Even Nokia’s hardware were ahead in that time, it couldn’t keep up with Microsoft’s stubborness
Windows phone had a lot of potential. It still pains me that it was abandoned. It was fast, almost stutter-free no matter what you threw at it. It was faster than android back then, and IMHO, it was almost toe to toe with iOS if not better, save for the lack of apps.
Boring tile OS made me get headache that is why people don't like it. Poor market share no one buy it.
Lumia had the best aesthetic design. None of the lumia looked pale. But Microsoft's Software support and store were the worst.
Maybe they can do it again, instead of WP7 they can put stock Android in it.
The lumia 800 was a piece of crap. It had audio problems, battery problems, screen problems and to make matters worse: Nokia used the very worst service-partners. It got so bad that I eventually started to openly boycott Nokia and tell the world of all the crap that the Lumia 800 was. Luckily the main HQ cared enough of their reputation to fix things in my particular case. The odd thing is that during that time I also used a Nokia 701 which worked absolutely brilliant despite its mundane hardware. Needlessly I never bought another WP phone again.
Cool Xperia XZ2 flashback!
Design joke aside, it's really a shame what happened to WP. Maybe if MS wasn't so strict about their OS and supported better hardware abstraction layers...
I had a L800 on launch day and it came with windows phone 7.0 installed and a short while after an update to 7.5 with the extra features, a nice phone, l also had a N 9 with Meego a amazing OS but sadly abandoned
