Ignore the software, Google Apps are bloat (you only need Playstore and Gmail).
I just wish the SoC doesn't throttle easily under load like the Kirin 980 and the Exynos 9820/9825. The performance was underrated in the P30. GsmArena has showed performance tests and speed can drop a lot in demanding apps (for games)

Huawei makes good chips but they tend to lack in the GPU department compared to Qualcomm.

Adreno GPUs despite having smaller die size perform better and can sustain performance for longer durations.
G76MP20 would be crazy fast almost twice as fast compared to MP11 but this will consume significantly higher power as well.thats why such extreme configurations are not seen in mobile world.
It would take some outstanding efforts to beat the Adreno in terms of speed,efficiency, sustainability.
Only promising contender appears to be is Samsung's implementation of the RDNA GPUs in Exynos,arriving in 2021.

That stupid reason would make sense if America was going after all of them but its singling out Huawei. So I doubt it has anything to do with China passing America in terms of tech.

The Last Oracle, 13 Dec 2019Unlikely this news is either fake or exaggerated. ARM hasn't even announced the A78 core's... moreActually we know A78 will be Hercules & that it's a reworked A77. Projections are that it will be 15% faster than A77, which is 20% than A76. We also know 5 nm TSMC EUV brings 15% performance increase or 30% power saving compared to their own 7 nm first gen. Cumulative it's a 50% ((20+15)+15) when base is a A76 & just me by they can pull so much compared to the Kirin 980 but it will still be pushing it. On the other hand base user experience & performance remains stuck on A55 for to long now.

Now that's what I call an upgrade.
This is like the NVIDIA GeForce cards when upgrading from 900 series to 1000 series.Significant improvement in performance.
Just like GTX 1070, GTX 1060 & GTX 1080 were significantly faster than GTX 960,970 & 980 respectively, Kirin 1020 miles better than 900 series.
