That was one of the main reasons google pulled out of China.

For me personally, given the choice I would choose Google search everytime. They are the best at it. So I don't understand why they refused to comply!

Google can afford to pressurise a small country because there is no alternative OS to Android. And ios is for the creamy layer. Google cannot do the same with China or Russia or India because of large userbase. In fact the govts are ruthless in kicking out such companies if needed.

Looked like nice liberal places. Before anyone chelps up, a good friend of mine is part Iranian. His family came over here in early 80s or late 70s... The stories he tells...
