I haven't had any problems with 4.0.2 on my GNexus, and the battery life has actually be great. I was a bit worried about the battery life after reading a bunch of reviews but for how I use it, it lasts just as long as my Nexus S did with such a beautiful screen :)
Google should first try on their own nexus and know all issues before releasing it :P day by day android is becoming worse i must say apple is way better than this stupid phones.
I have no problems with the signal, after it went to sleep mode. Just purchased this phone :)

There is no such problem for me with ma Galaxy Nexus running android 4.0.4
LOL Android is Sooo much Fail OMG. It seems like every update screws something up and this is an update DIRECTLY FROM GOOGLE. Seriously they need to get their code right for once.
4.0.4 on GSM G Nexus and no problems such as you describe. Been using the update since it went OTA.
I have now given up with the galaxy nexus. To the point where i have blown off the dust on my old iphone 3gs and have started using that again! Unless google sort this out the phone is getting traded in and im going straight over to a nokia lumia. I need a phone that i can rely on!
Android has its problems, more so than any other OS it seems, but it's still got tremendous support.
Updated my SGS2 to ICS unbranded O2, and it was okay, but I'll wait until it's as stable as Gingerbread 2.3.4, which is still great. For custom ROMS, I'll wait for CheckRom to release v.7 ^^
I have a Nexus whit 4.0.4 and I don't have problems whit the signal. The update is a most do, 4.0.2 has to much problems and the update has fixed a lots of bugs.
Just like MS, GOOG cannot get an OS right the first time. Wait for ICS 4.1, just like you wait for the first SP of any new Windows version.
I personally love my N1 on GB
Happy gnex owner here recently updated to 4.0.4 and not experiencing any issues and battery life has got a lot better since upgrading. Very happy with my phone
Apple to sue Google for copying their lack of phone reception functionality?
I have to say that ICS is now poor by both design and application now. The resource requirements are too heavy and it has bugs.
It has become like the earlier MS Windows version including XP where a million services you never wanted are running and using your CPU, battery and phone/data account.
340mb RAM, fast processor and decent graphics card required. A new open source project could come up with a better solution but they won't beat Google because of all the integrated solutions. Google offer too much for another open source project to be as successful in this space. That is bad for us because if Google want a bloated system with lots of potential for issues then that is what we get.
