I've updated my GN to 4.0.4 firmware, but I still use it without any problems... yeah, now it's a bit slow in switching from Wi-Fi to EDGE, so when I get out of Wi-Fi zone, it takes a couple of minutes to get back online, for example, in GTalk.
This is ridiculous. Aren't all Android updates supposed to be tested and guanrenteed to work on the Nexus devices before being released? The Google phones get the fastest and most frequent updates, and hence the best chance of getting screwed up. First thee was the yellow tint in the Nexus S , now the signal-dropping issue. Come on, Google! I would pick a device that's running an outdated but stable OS over being constantly pushed to some crappy updates that cause nothing but problems. Is that what you called "the pure Androud experience"?
This is not true, I use the device does not have any problems and thanks to google to update this wonderful .
I can't believe people are still using Android phones. I need a phone that i can depend on,not some useless unstable device.
What a shame
so many bugs review on ics, i think am gonna stay with honeycomb on my galaxy tab
Better go with WP Mango. All the features you need on a sleek and modern UI. Android is so old and useless. Putting quad-core CPU just so you can desperately swipe to your 7! desktops to look for an app...
:)) android... SO lame. A pimped up, low feature Symbian... My 3 years old Symbian device is more stable than all those android jokes with all those once a month updates... Just like cheap chinese merchandise. One cheap and low quality product after another. Changing the icons from previous versions and renaming it. What an update! :P :))
AnonD-252, 06 Apr 2012Android Gingerbread is stable and far better than WP7...!no
there is no consistency in android....
it is going symbian way already,,,,,,,,,,
not true for me, gsm gnex on 2degree running cm9 4.04
still receiving junk mail and trash sms :(
since i own lg o2x and reading about all kind of problems with android os i changed my mind. i'm saying bye bye android and welcome wp7. after all i don't want inovation i want stability. nm.1 stability
Still waiting my nexus s(4.0.3) update. What take google so long time to push OTA to us.
Galaxy Nexus owner. After upgrading to 4.0.4 I started losing 3G connection and network signal. I thought it was the phone but apparently not.
Another fine reason to be on non-yakju..u can wait n see how the updates perform.
ICS is a buginfested disaster!
Why did Google/Samsung pull 4.0.3 from Nexus, and why is Samsung having problems with ICS 4.0.3 for their latest tablets?
S2 use 4.0.3, and it also have problems with overheating and battery draining faster than the charger can charge the battery when browsing the web watching flash-movies while charging, and S2 with ICS is often losing network connections, and games like "Real Racing 2" are unplayable...!
Batterydrain is gigantic when phone/screen is used, but is ok in standby/sleep, but obviously that is because to much go to sleep while ICS is on standby!
