There is no 100% security but that doesn't mean you start bringing in more surveillance in your life.

AI engine definitely will be sharing sensitive information with Baidu You can't get this much paranoid about this nowdays. Your whole life history you shared with WhatsApp,Facebook, Google, Instagram....etc. You walking in the street well dressed but infact you are naked. You have no privacy left to hide.
You must heard news like there are was a security breach in Facebook, Instagram,etc.... What you think that is?.

uk7866, 18 Dec 2019Samsung is unstoppable recently !In the camera department, yes. I still have a bad feeling about the UI, it's badly implemented and has many gimmicks that slow down the phone. It's as if Samsung wants you to keep upgrading phones.

Yes I've heard of Baidu before, it also provides a web search engine like Google (if I'm not mistaken), but it seems that they steal your personal data and may phish or scam.
Not to mention if OneUI itself has many gimmicks and the typical Samsung won't last more than 2 years in terms of performance.
Baidu chips are best. I have it in my phone for years.
I hope a lot of this makes it to AI for Imaging in Samsung's smartphones. Maybe even for translation and word to text, and other commands that can be performed without any kind of internet connectivity.
Can't trust data with Baidu.

IMHO bad move for Samsung -unless this is a thing only for the Chinese market-. Probably this partnership will be something that less than 1/1000000 of Samsung buyers will pay attention to, but it will be a track record, also, for privacy concerns. I know we are almost monopolized by companies under American "surveillance", but, hey, USA is a democracy -weak or strong, but a democracy, at least- as it is the EU, the UK, South Korea, Canada, Australia, etc.
Looks interestng.
