Ditch microLed is a stupid move as people have no choice for a better display technology. Sony is the first to exploit microled (crystal LED) in 2015, while 2018 later LG the first to patent micro LED. It seem like Samsung lost in the race on making microLed. However Samsung fans can still rely on the Super Oled because they have no choice.

IMO Samsung fans will take the chance to tell you OLED is better than microLED that's why Samsung close to investing in mass production of microLED.

The way it was written leads people to think this tech was created by Samsung. And recently.
        That is the issue here.

        MicroLed exists since 2010.

Samsung's The Wall is just the same exact thing as Sony's CLEDIS™ prototype product, the only difference being it's released a year later!
Many Samsung phones with OLED screens including the latest high end ones suffer from burn ins after several months. Meanwhile, I'm yet to hear a reported case of a Sony Xperia XZ3 user suffering from the same problem. Care to change my mind?

If that's not enough, the XZ2 Premium from 2018 has a 4K HDR 144Hz IPS LCD display from LG. Xperia 1 and Xperia 5 both have 120Hz despite the former having a 4K resolution.
Name a Samsung phone that has one of them.
This is definitely not indicative of what the respective companies are going out with, but it's been proven so many times already that Sony has been working harder with quality than Samsung for so long.
It's not even about being a fanboy ffs! When you really have nothing to counter our statement, that's what you always say instead....it's getting boring now.

Sony unveiled Crystal LED display technology in the CES 2012.

At CES 2017 Sony showcased the CLEDIS (Crystal LED Integrated Structure) with a Crystal LED video wall approximately 32 by 9 feet with a resolution of 8000 x 2000 pixel.

Althought i have to agree that this is going to be very interesting but this microled technology is going to be super expensive.
                                  Same like foldable phones.
Thus right now at the moment there will be maybe 0,05% up to 0,5% of people which will find this tech usefull right at the moment.
Even the small 32 inch TV with mictroled technnology would cost no less than 3-5 000 euros.

Microled is cool but conceptually outdated. We don't need another "pixel" based display but a full liquid one which can have all colors naturally not just rgb. Using LEDs for next gen displays is like using 4-5 old school bulbs instead of a led panel to light up the room.

I am sure some Chinese company will come up with a new display that's got it. Last year a small Indian manufacturer showcased natural material display that changes color but has no backlight, perfect tech for signs and camo.

My Amazfit Bip has transflective color screen abd although it's far behind any led display on the sun its colors are so pleasant to look at now imagine a cell level change of color (full hue) and a display made of that, that's what we need not LEDs. LEDs are great but at some point they will become obsolete like crts and tn

Nice innovation, but then how much PWM flicker frequency does it produce? Many of the OLED panels are rated at 240-260 Hz (referring to Samsung S10/Note 10, iPhone 11 Pro, etc.), that will just cause eyestrain to users. Of course PWM flicker is present in every OLED panel but I hope microLED will not be worse.
