The Huge lip in the Razor also has all the technology crammed inside it and everything else is near bezelles, except the small notch that has light sensor and camera.
So it's a choice between 1 huge bezel in 1 side and a small notch. Or a large bezel going around the whole phone and a hole in the display.

Of course, if you mainly use your phone to read this kind of content, it will be tiresome for the eyes. But if it's just here and then, it's really ok.
About comics, I never succeeded to comfortably read them on a mobile, even with a 6.5" 16/9 screen. Webtoon are the way to go imo, but you are the only one that know what is good for you. I just suggest to not only imagine by reading the spec, but to try it out.

The beauty of this is not really impressive. But it appears to the only foldable smartphone in the $1000 bracket, may be the only one that may be mass market, in comparison.
