Samsung copying Motorola now XD
At least their design is a little better, as it has no fat notch, just a glory hole.
But the most important thing is, I hope the screen is not made out of play-doh again. Not even the cheapest potato phones today still have an easily scratchable plastic screen.
AnonD-762416, 19 Dec 2019*looks at the Shell logo* What? Too wide to be called clamshell
AnonD-731363, 19 Dec 2019Seen plenty of good looking and ugly looking phones. This one is definitely not good looking... moreEveryone likes the Morotolla Razr because of nostalgia, but in reallity, the this one looks better, it has a hole instead of a notch, it has small bezels all around instead of a big chin...
Seems like the Escobar Fold 1 is forgotten it can beat all foldable/clamshell smartphones because of its cheap price but with high end hardware

There's a lot of stuff (books, documents, comics, photos, videos) that doesn't dynamically adapt to narrow screens. If you display, for example, an A4 page on this narrow screen, it's going to be totally unreadable.

RC255, 19 Dec 2019For what it is, it looks OK but we can only see the screen and I'm not a fan of the hole punch... moreIt's going to use glass, not plastic like the Razr. A crease would mean the glass breaks.
It will be interesting to see how the durability of glass that thin will be... Exciting times in mobile.

For what it is, it looks OK but we can only see the screen and I'm not a fan of the hole punch design.
Doesn't move or fold the same as the RAZR though so could have a harder crease at the fold point, like the Fold does.
AJ, 19 Dec 2019You know what you go build a folding phone and then we will talk........Lol we can't have opinion now? And yes, that is ugly..
Too wide to be called clamshell
Tonberry, 19 Dec 2019This could be awesome, but the screen is so narrow :( reading small text is going to be really... moreYou need to try tbh. I only have 10% less content on my xperia 1 on a facebook post comparing to the computer version (with 66 letters/space per line for 10 words). It's just smaller, but perfectly readable thanks to the high resolution.
And the narrowness is so good to not have a bulky look with a case on, to be put on a jean pocket or just to use the phone with one hand only.
Not bad at all!
Seen plenty of good looking and ugly looking phones.
This one is definitely not good looking.
Razr by Motorola looks like a master piece.
This on the pics looks garbage to me.
Anonymous, 19 Dec 2019I am complaining about this design. Somehow I feel this design will be in my pocket in the ne... moreLooks like the xperia's 21:9 aspect ratio is the way to go. I was complaining about it since i've been using 16:9 (z5 compact). Now that I have an 18:9 XZ3, I feel that 21:9 is the future. I can't fully grip my XZ3 due to the width but surely it's easier on a 21:9 (xperia 5). We may see 21:9 foldable phones next year.
bigmoe87, 19 Dec 2019wow, they managed to make a flip phone ugly !!You know what you go build a folding phone and then we will talk........
Looks to narrow
This is how foldable smartphones should've been in the first place.
But that front camera cutout is a serious eyesore...
This is a perfect example of how execution matters more than concept. The stylish Moto RAZR annihilates this ugly turd no matter how you see it.
