Sony Xperia 1
I've used both S10+ and P30 Pro extensively this year and I can't vote for either. S10+ bc of terrible battery charging speed and endurance and a dropping WiFi issue (and the Exynos vs Snapdragon in EU scam), and P30 Pro bc of bad camera UI, bad focus and and bad image stabilization/low light shooting perf (not talking about night-mode here), and a sub-par display + in-palm feeling.
Can't give it to Note 10+ bc of the retarded power button placement (which I'd use heavily to quick-launch the camera, if I had the phone).
The rest of phones don't interest me either bc of sub-par camera or being Apple and thus looking like a soap bar without even a fingerprint sensor (yeah, progress).
Hope in 2020 Samsung will get their crap together and I will be able to get the Snapdragon S11+ imported into EU.
Rog Phone 2 has to be the winner!
dmoxly, 22 Dec 2019A flagship from 2017...
I mean it's not like the phones from before stopped existing right?... moreyou really don't have a clue. software is MORE important than hardware.
hardware is only good for as far as software let it to be.
ofc for reviewers is easy to compare hardware specs and most don't have a clue what they are talking so it's easy to say....this have bigger battery than the other...this have a sd card..bla bla bla.
a 3 year old phone is 3 year behind in software development and worst, it will not get anymore security updates. The hardware is very capable that's true, but companies want's us to change phones more often. they don't care about the planet or the finite resources we have.
Where is Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G? thats is real Huawei flag ship
acemang, 22 Dec 2019where's pixel 4? it's on it's own league?Yeah, its own league of worst expensive buggy, ill looking devices
A flagship from 2017...
I mean it's not like the phones from before stopped existing right? I'd rather buy three 'old' phones than one of any of these.
I have the S10+, a friend has the iphone 11 pro.
We both agree that the camera results are very close, sometimes one looks better than the other and vice versa. The selfie cam goes to Samsung.
The display on the Samsung is much better.
The in screen fingerprint reader is much more convenient. At first it was definitely annoying with failures but it has improved quite a bit. You get used to the area it is in and just naturally go towards it. A habit you develop. It does still fail once in a blue moon. It's as if it isn't turning on. You have to turn the screen off and on again for it to start registering.
Samsung android 10 + OneUi 2.0 is extremely fast. I actually noticed a speed increase, which is rare of samsung software updates.
I never liked Samsung but they really have upped the bar with their new premium products.
Apple is definitely always a nice experience when dealing with the hardware/software side of things. However, I do prefer the customization that android offers.
NBMSCH, 22 Dec 2019Stupid selection, at least put top 10 and give people more option to choose, not everyone "inc... moreThere was first round of voting with more phones included.
AnonD-836132, 22 Dec 2019Useless poll. No ASUS ROG Phone 2.You're right ! Asus ROG 2 is best flagship this year !
Threw my vote to S10+ headphone jack and what not.
But my true vote goes to the phone I have currently, the Vivo Nex 3.
Where is the Xiaomi Mi 9? The most underated phone of the year...yeah, and because is so underated that is not on the list, cause is a flagship killer for less than 500 euros.
But unlike some of the phones of the list, Mi 9 have more and more features than those on the list. FAIL
OnePlus 7T Indian variant had worst battery backup
A Student, 22 Dec 2019These phones were better than note 10? GSM experts: Are we joke to you? VvvIf you said that note 10 is the best than yes you are a joke
NBMSCH, 22 Dec 2019Stupid selection, at least put top 10 and give people more option to choose, not everyone "inc... moreThen why have a preliminary round...
Agree with the guy who said the poll is useless since it doesn't have the standout phone of this year the Asus ROG 2.
