Yuppy, we receive software updates for 10 years, Apple loves us, prices are low, we innovate each day.. and then I felt asleep.
P.S. I don't care about S9+, I sold mine after 6 months, I think is a sh8t phone. But, iphones are even sh8t8er. Yes, I had iphone too, sold it after 4 months.

Of course android SDK has backward support for tons of features, these backward support is taxing on the older OS versions, and more smooth on the newer versions.

Not sure how you guys are using phones and why would you need latest software updates if it changes so little....
I'm using S7 almost every day and it works just perfect. Battery is good for more than 1 day, never had screen protector but no scratches (but using regular silicon case) and what's most important still recieving quarterly security updates. I think it is much more important than minor software update.

If your S9 hasn't been enclosed front and back, the oleophobic coating is gone and the back panel is a hazy mess of scratches. I doubt the battery was designed for more than 2 years of service.
