Why is Huawei making the same mistake like in the past releasing a renewed phone i stead of giving us P40 lite? I don't get it.

I hate it when they just add a year on the model name.
In regards to P30 Lite (the regular version), I'm using it since summer and I LOVE it!

I will stick to Pie, and you should too if you want the old Storage Access Framework for apps instead of this crippled scoped iOS-style garbage.

The US trade ban has nothing to do with ... moreonly new Huawei devices launched after the ban are affected, all the rest (p30 series, mate 20 series) can use Google services just fine. Huawei is unable to certify "new" devices regardless of the chipset used, whether be it Kirin 980, 810, 990, etc. All these "new" devices are just recycled models with some tiny visual changes, the interior remains the same (example: Nova 5T is a Honor 20)

I already have one , it was launched in KSA at the end of this summer they called it in local market " new edition". He just have 128 Storage - 6 Gb Ram and 48 megapixel main camera + 24 megapixel selfie Cam. That's all

The US trade ban has nothing to do with it. Google Play Services can't be used in Huawei devices, regardless of the chipset used.

Lol, this is gonna be the P Smart Z with another name for the 5th time. Even if its based on a different phone, given they cannot use any new components on the phone it will end up using the same stuff the other remakes have.
Huawei needs to give it a try and release the true honor 9x globally without google services and see how they do. Many people would be willing to buy the phones for the right price, not this nonsense of $390.

Sometimes I just don't understand why people in the world have such a big craving to tell lots of bad things and in the end on the conversation they tell like u do here, they have another choice. Then I think, why use energy to all this and many use lots of energy to be haters to.

P30 Lite is a god tier midranger in the hands of right person. You can argue all about the chip, it is similar to SD 710 and is powerful enough. I can expect my best midranger of 2019 to go only above.

Problem is Huawei cannot make new phones with Google services...so they can only launch the same old phones. Huawei is dead outside China
