Everything feels smoother and I like the aesthetic improvements, soft transitions and face unlock - generally feels much more refined.
Only gripe is that every time I do a hard reset (ie not the fast turn on) it has to optimise all my (75) apps which takes about 2 extra mins. Also lock screen has annoyingly been downgraded as its less customisable.
Otherwise great update.
my sensation xe got update on 27th march night, i live in pakistan, m quite happy about update n specially face unlock, its amazing.
I bouth the phone and did the update, so i dunno the old version.
I already found a bug, when i rebbot and it start it does the updaet always. say tha its doing and update.
I updated my friend's sensation xe last week. But noe, wifi & bluetooth won't work. Waiting for a fix
i got my sensation update in Pakistan, its seems to me that my phone is working will, i am getting more RAM now previously getting only 100 mb for use. and the camera also got the new functionality which looks great. but one two things i did not like is the sense looks not soo much annimated as was in the 3.o, and small battery life which i now getting. i was expecting the camera funcltionlity of the one x but was not found that, any how not so much change i found in the ICS.
My life is not the same ever since I updated my HTC Sensation to ICS. My phone's speed, response time - PROCESSOR have gone slow. it is heating up more. Battery I feel is giving me a little extra talk time. But the first two problems are really annoying. I don't think ICS software was properly designed for dual core processor phones.
I'm from Pakistan and got it updated around 31st March. No big issues to talk about. In fact the little perks and added features here and there are really nice. No need to turn green laymen Gingerbread users (who don't know what rooting and custom ROMs really mean....like me). You're not missing out on much and life can be bearable with Gingerbread until something AMAZING (Apple style) comes out. So stay cool! :)
I booted this myself since my XE is rooted, I don't recall any bugs though I do recall some annoying changes made to the UI, like the changes to QuickSettings (no longer on/off toggle for GPS and Wi-Fi in Sense 3.6), and another annoying element is that you can't change the lockscreen icons without changing the dock icons. Kind of lame in my view.
Other than that though, my XE was stable and had no issues whatsoever for the period I stuck with the updated Stock ROM. Then I missed flashing and went back to Custom ROMs lol.
EDIT: Some good Custom ROMs I recommend:
Android Revolution HD (Sense-based)
HyperNonSense (Discontinued now, but files might still be available - this is SenseLess)
ExtremeSensation (Dream/Prime, depends on whether you want Sense or not).
Custom ROMS give you the best options in my opinion, don't wait around for updates, just root and flash!

This update just rubbish! the sense 3.6 UI is so bad that the old and buggy 2.3.6 with sense 3.0 build is way better.
If you have any sense of logic in you, don't apply this update until HTC releases sense 4.0 which provides a much better user experience.
Updated my Sensation on March 29th. (Vodafone UK) Yes, it is a bit buggy and some apps force close, but to be honest thats no different to how the phone behaved before the update. It does take longer to open apps and internet, but only a matter of a couple of seconds so its liveable. Biggest disappointment for me is the battery life. Apparently the update was meant to improve this, but sadly it seems to drain even quicker. Had an issue where I couldn't send or receive mms, but this was sorted out pretty quickly and now works fine. Overall I wouldn't say the phone is any worse but some of the promised improvements are yet to shine through. Don't think sense 4.0 will ever be available for the Sensation. I'm going to stick with it for another couple of weeks then may install a custom ROM, but by no means is this a certainty. After all, I bought the phone with Gingerbread and was happy enough with that, so I will not complain about an update.
I have few bugs on my ICS update. Wireless and mobile network activates itself, also when I surf on the internet and when I go to home screen it loads again the whole Sense.
I have HTC Sensation XE I got Update With ICS last Week
First Of all it got two three software unnecessary which cannot be deleted
second message section is very slow to open and even at times it takes 10 mins to open
Third You Keeps on pressing to call and it doesnt dial for at time 30 seconds.
Fourth My Phone keeps on Rebooting
My Phone Got Pathetic after gating update I was a big fan and using htc since 2005 but now i think i should leave htc as this is the second phone i got that had problem with Update
It's perfect..gb had too many bugs. They have fixed those and the biggest gain is in battery performance. Sense 4 would have been icing on the cake but I am happy for now. :)
Updated my Sensation XE last March 27 and I'm from the Philippines.
In Serbia update is avaliable since march 30 on sensation.. It have no bugs at all.. Works great, faster, smother, better graphics, better baterry life.
