I've updated my htc to ice cream sandwich..it's good and smooth but unfortunately it has a problem which i couldn't fix till now..my wifi and mobile network turn on by itself..is there any fix to it??
updated just today android 4.0.3 and sense 3.6
speed and smoothness of animations has improved many times. many new features as well... everything works fine... impressed.
I also updated my Sensation to Android 4.0.3 with Sense 3.6. It was really easy without any problems. It took a couple of minutes and it kept all of my data, applications. BUT I have a problem with the new ICS....couple of times when i press the home button, the OS is going to reboot (white screen with green HTC logo) then I have to wait a few seconds to load the home screen again.
it's a shame for HTC that not release the ICS Update for Sensation India Rom.I'm Sorry for HTC....
i Can't Understand the Delay
Does anybody when the update to ICS will available in Greece? Thanx alot...
This is ridiculous that ICS update has been rolled out in Bangladesh and Pakistan but not in India. You are on wrong path HTC.
It is working perfect though i have just upgraded few hours ago here in Pakistan. In fact the browsing has significantly improved.
Thanks to Android team. thumbs up...
got the OTA update for ICS with sense 3.6 here in belgium everything seems to work fine nothing glamorous though
Update to ICS HTC Sensation.. Nothing wrong.. Everything is good.. No problem reported..
i'm from italy, i dont found any problems. everything works fine. ICS 4.0.3 with sense 3.6
the performance seems to be a bit better now but every time I reboot it always shows that "android is upgrading". other than that no other complaints..
I updated to ICS and sense 3.6 about a week ago now. Really good to start with but a few bugs are coming out of the workwork. The Wifi drops out as soon as I connect to a network, takes about 3 or 4 attempts to get a solid connection. Had my notification bar only drop to halfway (this was solved by a reboot) still annoying tho. Quite miffed that the older (fairly new) phones haven't received all the perks of the new sense 4.0 (bear in mind the new One S is same(ish) specs as the Sensation and XE) cause their only updates to the apps and software. its an absolutely lame excuse that HTC don't want to change it to much for the people who are familiar with sense 3.0. Mainly the camera changes, the new layout and the ability to take photos while recording video. Have heard rumors the Galaxy S2 will get this feature in an update.
Just my thoughts
A loyal but miffed HTC User from the UK.
did my ota update three days ago. no info lost, no bugs - brought new life to my sensation. love it
In from Malaysia an already updated but after upgrading done my software info still 2.3.5 not 4.0.im used incredible s.help me plz i dont know whether updatedor not
Also got my (UK, VF) update for my Sensation last week. Broadly fine so far, seems to be a little slower than before, but has all-but solved poor 3G connectivity.
All data was retained, although it took a while to reload and refresh some of it after rebooting again post-update.
I'm from Indonesia but I bought my Baby White XE in Singapore in February...
and got the update around March 28...
let's say overall ICS looks nice with my Baby White Sensation XE...=p
but, some disappointment I've got like:
1. choppy video playback on 1080p, GB much smoother than ICS...
2. some games and applications can't launch and always have error reports... my case? GTA III can't launch anymore on ICS, Drag Racing now having problem while launch too...
3. internet pass-through sometimes having problem and must be manually checked in settings -> wireless&networks
4. some original HTC Widgets becomes buggy and not comfortable to use, so I removed some.....
5. automatic brightness have some issues too, sometimes won't work well...
but there are some compliment for ICS4.0+Sense3.6:
1. official screen capture, because I don't want to root my HTC devices and some 3rd party applications needs rooting. I need this feature, really...
2. easy to kill applications by long touch home capacitive button and slide the applications sideways.
3. face unlock, quite fun but not very effective actually, because if someone try to unlock and the phone can't recognize their faces they just need to input pattern/PIN unlock.
4. slightly improve battery life.
5. swipe sideways to clear notifications.
really hope there'll be new update available to fix these problems, especially on video playback..
such a shame while I'm on Gingerbread can showoffs my 1080p music videos much better than SGS II, but now.....I can't imagine how they'll laugh at me... *sigh*
got the ota update for sensation in the uk about a week ago no problems didn,t loose any contacts, photos etc
DO NOT UPDATE! This is a very disappointing effort from HTC. Wi-Fi doesn't work anymore except if I remove my SIM card. Also happened to my friends in UAE, KSA, and Qatar (Here in Syria too!). Is this region related? Becuase I expect a fix in a week maximum.
Received OTA update to 4.0.3 with Sense 3.6. few days ago.
No problems to report, only thing is that all songs, pics / videos and custom ringtones were lost during update. Of course should have made a backup before :)
Some additional info:
Unit was bought in Netherlands and I'm currently in the U.S. where I received the update.
