plz do.not comment about the PRICE if u hvent seen the phone personally...its camera might be better than a dslr...who.knows!.....need to watch it personnally if I want to comment about its price...
Pre-order price is usually steeper than the retail price. That is if you want to be the first one to own an 808 and you're willing to shed 600 euros then that's the deal. But everyone else can still get this phone for the regular retail price of 450 euros after a month or so. This phone's sensor full resolution is indeed 41MP. But you're never gonna use all those pixels in actual imaging since the picture is square. Maximum effective resolution is at 38MP on 4:3, and 16:9 at 32MP. You can take photos from 3MP up to 38MP. With 38MP mode you get a standard quality shots, and with Pureview mode, that is 5-8MP, you get awesome/breathtaking/out-of-this-world shots because the camera uses oversampling which still uses the full sensor but downsizes the image to 5 or 8MP. This process removes digital noise, while preserving the same level of detail you might get by shooting with the best 5/8 megapixel camera.
I hope that price will be for pre order only because that means it will be very expensive her Egypt
AnonD-27765, 08 Apr 2012Middle-level phone? So you mean this phone falls in the same category as Samsung Galaxy Ace Pl... moreYou've posted a lot, but didn't answer the question about the tremendous price of this unit. Camera is brilliant, i agree. But only when compared to cameraphones and compact cameras, not DSLRs. The phone itself is absolutely mediocre. I don't see the reason to pay about 800 USD. For what?
AnonD-27765, 08 Apr 2012808 camera sensor size is 1/1.2" which is 2.5x larger than the already large 1/1.83"... moreInformative,but not convincing.
navigation can get at a small price. usb otg is just a free software available for many droids.
btw, shud i say this phone has 41mp cam? which is wrong thiugh. should i say 38 mp cam? Sounds odd. is it 8 mp /5 mp cam?
gill, 08 Apr 2012Wave 2-3 series has all those features except the 41 mp alien thing. whats point 15? know f... more808 camera sensor size is 1/1.2" which is 2.5x larger than the already large 1/1.83" sensor of the N8. And no, Wave 3 doesn't have HDMI, Secure NFC, FM transmitter, USB OTG, 1080p, Dolby, free offline navigation, MEMS microphone. Actually no other phone does have all the 808 features.

fm receiver is not a quotable thing, every phone with fm capabilities has a receiver

sid2916, 08 Apr 2012I wonder, what these ios and droid fanboys will say if Galaxy SIII or next iphone comes with 1... moreGeleousy??? what does this even mean? let me guess, this should be the t9 suggestion of NOKIA. huh.

So you mean this phone falls in the same category as Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus, Y, M, W, R? None of those phones have the same long list of all specifications of the 808. As somebody here already pointed out:
1.) Real HDMI, none of that MHL B.S.;
2.) Xenon Flash with LED video light in one unit;
3.) USB OTG to transfer files in realtime to USB FD;
4.) FM Transmitter/Receiver;
5.) DLNA over WiFi;
6.) WiFi b/g/n;
8.) 3.5mm stereo with AV Out;
9.) Dolby Surround 5.1;
10.) Rich Recording 140dB;
11.) Stereo Recording;
12.) Active noise cancellation;
13.) Offline GPS Navigation forever;
14.)4.01 micron per pixel on default 5MP PureView mode (the iPhone 4S has 1.4 micron per pixel on 8MP mode);
15.) 1/1.2 camera sensor;
16.) 41MP Camera Sensor;
17.) Secure NFC;
18.) microSD slot.
Very expensive! We expect Galaxy S3 for such a price. Middle-level phone with built-in compact digital camera which costs at maximum 250 euro, comes with a cost of DSLR. 300-400 euro would be a real price for this unit.
Cod3rror, 08 Apr 2012Hahah, Nokia, you never fail to deliver a good comedy.
